Try going through the setup menu using your stereo remote. Scroll till you find brake detection and turn it off. Worked for me. Mine was doing exactly what yours is. I have an off brand stereo.

Try going through the setup menu using the remote to your car stereo. You don't have to mess with any wires. Scroll till you find where you can turn on or off brake detection. Once this was turned off all warnings went away. I have an off brand stereo system and this worked for me. DVD wasn't playing even when parked without the big warning coming up every few seconds.

My new radio plays every thing but when i put a dvd it says warning please stop watch vedio player . you can hear the movie but there is no picture

the parking brake wire must be connected to the parking brake system of you car. When the parking brake is engages, the LCD will be allowed to view your video. If not, the screen will produce an image saying, parking brake. this is a feature designed for the driver not to watch a video while driving. The video output on this unit will not be affected by this, el wire to connect is Pink - parking brake. this is wire connect with ground.

I just installed the unit, reset it twice, and the DVD screen is not working, and is saying "WARNING: Please Stop Watch Video" What does that mean?

I do not know this specific unit, but it sounds like a safety device built into the unit so you cant watch the screen whilst driving.. it may be that you have ommitted a sensor wire or got a sensor wire reversed.

Re-check all your wiring and make sure that the ignition live and the battery live wires have not been reversed...

Hello I have just acquired a LEGACY LD58MT the audio it works very well but when putting a movie in any format the screen puts on in black with a message that WARNING PLEASE STOP VIDEO WATCH PLAYER says...

This unit was not designed to be used while the car is in motion. Your parking brake must be in the engaged position in order to view the monitor. The brake wire must be hooked up to the parking brake wire or grounded in order for this function to work properly.

"WARNING STOP WATCH WATCH VIDEO" and no sound

Follow the following steps to overcome this problem:
  1. Locate the "Brake" wire (usually the pink wire).
  2. Connect the "Brake" wire to a negative point, e.g. body of vehicle.
  3. Test by playing a DVD and your problems have been solved.

Blue screen will not go away

The problem is that you're trying to bypass a safety feature. Newer video head units are smart enough to know when you've just grounded the brake switch wire so you can watch it while you're driving. Try hooking it up to your parking brake wire.
