If you have Amazon Prime, they have a new family share program that you can add 1 adult and up to 4 children within your household to your account and share content and features that you allow them to use. Look in the my account section of Amazon Prime for it.

One Amazon Account per unique email address!

But....
I don't know the reason your son would want to use your email address but different Amazon account?, why not do this...
Open a separate email account, with your current email client. If Gmail then gmail, or MSN, Yahoo, etc.
Lets say your email address is andrea@gmail .com
Go to gmail.com and open a new account. When prompted to input and see if desired new email name is available, type in [email protected]. Then if available, enter a desired password and then you have a new email account that is very similar to your original email account. "x" is whatever you want it to be... 1st initial of his first name, it count 1 or a, etc - I think you get it?
Then head over to Amazon and open his account with this new email address.
Good Luck

Mike

Amazon usually doesn't allow more than one person to an account with the same email. But to be sure you can call AMAZON Customer Service866-216-1072 and they can help you. They are pretty good at helping.

What is my amazon account

If you don't know what your amazon account is, you may not have one yet.
If you do have an existing Amazon account, the user name is likely to be an email address (at least at present). You can try entering your email address and possible passwords, or go through the procedure of resetting your password.

Good luck.

Under my email address, my son would like to open a separate amazon account. Can that be done, and how?

You can only have one account per email. However if you are talking about the kindle fire tablet maybe this will answer your question. Use Household Profiles to Share Your Device

Cannot remember my kindle password and need to change bank details

You should have an email address associated with your Amazon Kindle account. Go to Amazon dot com and attempt to log on to your Kindle account. When you put in a wrong password it will reject it but there should be an option that says something like *forgot password?* You might have to enter a wrong password a couple of times before this option becomes available. Click on it and it should take you to a page where you can reset the password which means they will email you a new temporary one or something like answering your special questions right that you can use one time to log onto your account. Once on, you can create a new password and do your bank details changes.

How do we register two Kindle Fire HD 6 Tablets to the same email address, but different names?

Unfortunately you cannot do this. You can register more than one device on a single Amazon account but you cannot register multiple email addresses and associate them with different devices within a single account.

Has my old password expired?

Amazon accounts and passwords do not expire. Go to the Amazon home page and click "Sign in". You can select Forgot Password. Be sure you are using the correct Email address you used when signing up. You may have to contact Customer Service if you still don't have luck in restoring your account.

I have de registered my Kindle account by mistake

You can re-register your Kindle through the device itself. Go to the "Settings" menu, select "Register," and then enter your Amazon account email address and password to connect your device to your account. If you do not have an Amazon account, you are prompted to create one.

You don't have to delete his account. It is simply the "default." If you setup your own mail account, you can then make your account the default. You will afterwards set up your own Skype account using your own email address. Nothing stops you from setting up a Gmail (Google) account. If you don't know how, simply google "how to set up a google email account." As to how to make that the default account on your iPad, where the menu item is to do that may depend upon the version of the operating system. Here is one depicted instruction set:
