It sounds to me like someone has gotten inside & tampered with it, Cameron. Maybe they twisted the drive belt 180 degrees or something? Or rewired the motor backwards?
If the scooter functions OK backwards & forwards and drives the distance you require, then i would hazard a guess at the PCB in the tiller head, paired with BDI (Battery Display Indicator). Batteries on the Breeze are most likely 70-100ah, and ideally must be kept charged, either after use or at least once per week if you are not using it. Failing to do so will end up costing a lot of money :-)
hi, sadly it does sound like a controller fault however you say your third one!!, that in itself tells me that the motor could be stressing the controller , you need to make sure that the resistance on the motor side is about 0.4ohms , no more than 10 ohms otherwise this over time will shorten the life of the controller, plus check the brake resistance that should read about 40ohms, now first remove the battery power and disconnect the motor and brake before taking any readings? Check the motor brushes , heavy carbon build up ? do the brushes move freely within the brush holder ?
Reversing the polarity:There are 3 wires on the Wig Wag Assembly. (reverse the wig-wag function) simply de-solder the 2 outer wires & swap their position & re-solder.I would seek a price for doing the job from an approved scooter repairer,unless you are comfortable doing the job yourself.I hope this has helped,Colin
You have a bad circuit board if it is the one I am thinking about. If it doesn't have a circuit board, then the switches are bad. There is a web site called www.modifiedpowerwheels.com that can answer any and all questions you may have. Read their FAQ, and enjoy all that you can do with the toy.
