You can't restore the image if it is boot looping or rebooting at boot stage unless you can get into safe mode.try pressing F8 repeatedly whilst it is starting.if it loops then it is probably a rootkit boot virus which are extremely troublesome .best ever solution is to get hold of hirens boot disc off another computer and put it on usb stick .this installs a small version of windows Xp on the ram of infected machine.then you can run malwarebytes or kapersky rescue disk or combifix.to clean the rootkit or access the system image file stored on machine to overwrite the boot .ini and infected system files.

Keeps rebooting itself over and over
SIMPLE FIX:
Symptom: My blackberry BB keeps rebooting and restarting; endless loop.

Solution: Remove battery, Re-Insert Battery, replace case backing & PRESS & HOLD on back of casing when reboot gets to just before home screen.
Keep holding until home screen comes up completely and everything loads. (usually 10-15 seconds once home screen appears)
IMPORTANT: WHERE to press & hold back of phone/battery casing when rebooting;
On back of phone casing there are 2 gold strips that hold 2 gold nodes on phone down. THIS IS WHERE you press.
In essence you are firmly holding these nodes down with back casing on, just as phone reboots to home screen.

Works every time for me. Hope it works for you.

If the computer keeps rebooting when you first start it up it is quite possible that the hard drive is broken. It keeps looking for the start up boot sector, but it's broken so it keeps trying again..and again...and well you know.

Try replacing the hard drive cable. If that doesn't fix the problem, then you may have bad RAM, bad motherboard or a bad power supply. Sounds like a hardware issue and not software. try booting your computer in safe mode since it doesn't load all the device drivers. If it still reboots then you'll have to keep swapping parts and booting up the computer to isolate the problem.

XP Keeps Rebooting at Startup
Hi,
Most likely it is your hard drive. There is a boot sector on the hard drive and when xp starts it looks for that boot sector. If that boot sector is damaged xp can't find it so xp reboots again...and again...and... Try a different hard drive and see what happens.

while rebooting u press the F5 key for a while, it will redirect u to a boot menu,in this boot menu u have some special options to boot like boot in safe mode,safe mode with networking ,debugging mode,last known good configuration boot,start normally,etc u first boot in safe mode and try to deactivate rebooting in ur own technicand u have more options try all of them it will be ok in 2 or 3 options

Hello,
This is due to the registry entries that are installed with Firefox. Any major changes to the system registry requires a reboot. However, a reboot in this case is not immediatelly necessary. You can ignore this error and reboot later if you are working on something, or close out all programs and reboot the computer.
