To delete a number, go to the number in Contacts, then press Edit, then scroll to number you want to delete. There will be a little red symbol next to it, press this and the number will be deleted.

Another option is to scroll the bottom of the screen and it will give you the option to delete the entire contact

Deleting a phone number will free almost very little space. If you need more space on your phone, try deleting apps you no longer use, or plug the iPhone into a computer and move some photos from the phone to the computer.

This will give you much more space than deleting a number.

In the Call Log eg. Dialed Numbers, highlight the number/contact you want to delete, press "Option" and then select "Delete", this will delete only the selected entry. Make sure you don't press the "Delete All".

Its easy. Just go to that call log. For instance, you want to delete XYZ's number from the received calls log, go to you recieved calls, scroll to XYZ, select 'options'. In the options, select 'delete'. You would be asked if you actually want to delete the number XYZ from the received calls log. Selecting 'yes' deletes the number.
You can do the same for your dialled and missed calls.

As you said me you want to delete some contact from you are phone memory means you can do this if you follow this things.Go to menu select contacts then scroll over to delete option and select that option after selecting that you will get two option telling delete all, one by one.If you select all contact will be deleted if you select one by one means you can delete one by one.If you want to edit the number means you can select menu and then contacts there you will get search select it and type the name after getting the contact select option then scroll over to edit number there you can edit.Thanks for you are question happy to help.

Your phone does not have a recycle bin like your computer so wats deleted remains deleted and cannot be restored.

its possible its an omission to delete the number or the number was punched in by someone else.

then its possible you only deleted the number from you call log rather than from you contact list.

to delete the number, go to you contact, select the contact, press option, select delete, confirm this then send.

if you want to delete one number give one by one or whole number means give delete all option
