SOURCE: doesn't show mp3 files on micro sd card

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} You will be really happy to know that you can add music to your Kyocera X-TC cell phone. First you should have already saved MP.3 music to your music file in your computer. From what I understand the Kyocera X-TC will only play MP3 format.

Here's what I did.

First you'll need the following items:
1 Micro SD disk
1 adapter to hold the Micro SD disk
1 card reader - You insert the adapter into the Card Reader then connect the reader to a USB port in your computer and download the music from your computer to the Micro SD drive. I purchased a great 12-n-1 Iogear Card Reader from Walmart.com for under $15.00

Steps to formatting the Micro SD and downloading music to the Micro SD disk:

First: Remove the battery from your Kyocera X-TC for 30 seconds

Second: Put the battery back into the phone and PUT THE MICRO SD DISK IN THE PHONE and turn on the phone

Third: The phone will automatically recognize the Micro SD disc and a message will appear "Your disc is not formatted. Would you like to format this disc" and of you would of course choose "Yes".

Fourth: After the Micro SD disc is formatted, place the Micro SD into your Micro Adapter, then place the micro adapter in your card reader and plug the reader into the USB port in your computer.

Five: After you plug your card reader into the USB port your computer will open up the Micro SD disc in a drive like drive I: and you'll find that that drive has two files a Music file and a Picture file.

Six: Then you open up the file on YOUR COMPUTER WHERE YOU SAVED MUSIC in MP3 FORMAT

Seven: Then right click and highlight on all the MP3 songs you want to save to your Micro SD disc and choose COPY

Eight: Then return to the drive where your Micro SD disc is and PASTE THE SONGS TO MUSIC FILE IN THE MICRO SD DISC, and that’s it. From here you just put the Micro SD disc into your phone and watch the songs upload. Hope this helps!

Will NOT turn on when sd media card is inserted

look through the SD slot, all pins should in position and clean, if something looks wrong, try to clean or adjust the pin with philips #000 screw drive or similar size tools
if everything looks just fine, try to put another SD card.
if nothing works to you, through it to trash or sell on ebay.

"memory full" but SD cards are empty

Not sure if it will be this, but has the SD card got locked by accident? There is a little sliding button on the side of the card, which can be locked to protect the content. My camera shows the card as full if I accidentally lock the card. You can just slide it back again to unlock it. I never noticed the button was there until I accidentally knocked it while loading the card in and out of my PC to transfer the photos.

Im not able to view video that i have recorded

This is not my area of expertise, but I have done this a few times. Depending on whether you have a removeable SD card or not, you can remove the SD card from the camera and insert it into a reader slot on your Laptop.
Then you will need to access a Media program on your computer or have the Laptop read the SD card with an Autoread setting preprogrammed in the Laptop. If you use a Media program, you would use an "Import" command to transfer the images.
If you do not have an SD reader, you will need a USB port connector to wire the images from the camera to your Laptop. Also the camera may have recorded the pictures on Internal memory without a removeable SD card. You should get the images out of the camera and onto your Laptop as a permanent location for them.
Even with an SD card in your camera, sometimes you need to set up your camera to use the SD card instead of the internal memory.
Finally, if you do have an SD card and are getting nowhere in trying to do this with your equipment, Walgreens have photo equipment which may help you transfer your movies from one Media to another.
Like people, the equipment and capabilities may vary at different locations. Finally, using a service like Walgreens may help you determine if your problem is camera based or Laptop based.
I hope that in some way my solution has helped you.

I have seen this many times, most of the time it's because the index file was writing or cleaning itself when you removed it. This is what the "EJECT" is when you right click. As a matter of course, you should always 'eject' the media before removing it. (It doesn't physically pop the media out, it really should be called "Shut Down Media XXXXX" So in most cases, there's nothing you can do except send it off to a data recovery service and be prepared to shell out a bunch of money.

Battery drained within a few pictures but over a weeks time. camera is shut off between uses

Rechargeable batteries will degrade the more you use it. Their maximum capacity will always decrease the older the battery is. So if the camera is over 2 years old, the battery probably can't hold much of a charge anymore. Also, the battery will discharge even when the device may not be on.

My recommendation would be get a new battery. It doesn't hurt to have another one lying around, and there are usually Fuji compatible batteries you can buy that will not cost quite as much as an original.

Thanks for reading and good luck.

My GoPro HD helmet Hero freezing while filming. It simply freezes up and the buttons don't work. I need to remove the battery to reset the camera and all my video is lost. I'm using a sandisk 32GB SD...

Unless the camera is actually in record mode, your previous video files should be complete on the SD card and should not be affected by removing the battery. The freezing COULD be a result of the SD card itself. Most live video recording devices which use media of this type work best with cards that are rated "Class 4" or higher. (Class refers to the read/write speed of the card; the higher the class, the faster it performs.) The class rating is usually shown inside a small circle printed on the card. A 32 GB card of Class 4 or higher is still pretty pricey, so if yours is only Class 2, the camera circuitry may be sending data to the card faster than it can handle it, thus locking it up. You might be better off with a smaller capacity card (16 or even 8 GB) that has a higher Class rating (4 or even 6). *Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer, despite the handle. There is a spring that puts pressure on the SD card. It is most likely stuck.

You will need to fish around with a straightened paperclip, but be careful not to bend anything or the slot won't work properly any longer.

this has happened to me a few times and it's always the same fix...the spring is jammed and needs to be coerced back into place.

Hope this helps!
