Washer's external Drain hose dislodged at drain pipe, do you suspect the recent severe thumping spin cycle caused this to happen? Flooding occurred. How would you test drain hose? What could be the solution for severe thumping spin cycle?

If you were flooded then drain hose does not seem to be clogged. Yes severe thumping would or could cause washer to bounce around enough to pull drain hose out. Thumping would be because of unbalanced load. Or worn dampers and/or springs. Post make and model for better answers.

Testimonial: "Thanks for your quick response! You said to post the make and model for more info.It is a Kenmore Elite, with Smartwash QuietPak9, if you have further info."

Spins but will not drain

Good Morning Friend,

I understand that you are having trouble with your Frigidaire washer, model# FAFW4011L, spinning but not draining. Here are a couple of suggestions that you can try.

1)Check the drain hose for any kinks or clogs. Also, make sure that the drain hose is only 6-8 inches down in the drain pipe. If the drain hose gets backed up with water this error can occur.

2)Make sure that the actual drain pipe, where the drain hose goes into, is only a maximum height of 8 feet. If it is longer than 8 feet, you will need to cut some of the pipe off.

3)Make sure that your homes drain pipes are not clogged. If they are, you will need to unclog them. Call a plumber if necessary.

After checking the above suggestions, reset your washer by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your homes circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. When you restore power, start any cycle on your washer. If you are still having trouble with your washer draining, I suggest contacting your local authorized technician for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose your washer and determine why your appliance will not drain. Hope this is helpful.

    -Best regards-

I have a Kenmore 80 series washer it will not stop filling with water so it wont go into agitate cycle, help

Has your drain for your washer backed up recently? Or is the drain hose from the washer sealed into the drain pipe, meaning that you can't just lift the hose out anymore? There needs to be air around the drain hose or it will cause the washer to allow water to be siphened threw the drain by not closing the filling valve. This can also happen if your drain is backed up. Rooter the drain out and make sure that the drain hose is not sealed up to the drain pipe and see if that fixes your problem.

Our logixx 8 washing machine leaks water from the bottom when the programme is at drain/spin, water is being pumped to the outlet pipe but also flooding the floor from the bottom of the casing

It is so common that the drain leaks in many ways and is the most problematic fault in a washing machine. In all occasions it is important that your observation is most important and so is vital to the identification /rectification and solution. If you have noticed that water has leaked then as the drain hose pump/valve and fittings are located on the underside of the machine it is important that you look for possible leaks here. In some cases the drain hose would be clogged at the drain end to outlet of the house and so there will be back flushing resulting in overflow to the outside. Also the drain pump/valve can be clogged or the drain hose clamps can be loose on the grip which can all cause the leak to occurs. Removing and Cleaning the drain pump/valve, tightening of the hose is also very important. Also water can leak if there is gaps on the front door gaskets and must be checked but this will happen only during the cycle and not on the drain cycle end.

Water will not stay filled in tub on rinse cycle

It sounds like a siphon issue.
Check that the drain hose does a high loop before it goes into the drain pipe. (ie. drain hose loops above the water level inside the tub). Make sure the drain hose is not pushed too far down into the drain pipe. Also if the drain hose is sealed to the drain pipe this will create an airlock and a siphon will occur, allow air to enter between drain hose and drain pipe connection.
This should help you but if there is still a problem let me know and I'll try to assist you further.
Good luck!

Whirlpool Washer - Imperial Series Quiet Wash 2

your washers drain hose is too far down the drain pipe which is causing a siphoning action pull the washers drain hose out pipe some you should be able to hear water dropping into the pipe the reason it only happens in the rinse cycle is because the water from wash is being drained and before the water vacuum is broken the rinse water comes in causing it to keep draining

Frigidaire front load washer won't drain or spin

This often is a drain hose that is too low or a drain hose that has been pushed too far down inside the stand pipe....the water is actually siphoning out of the washer. Do not "seal" the drain hose to the house plumbing pipe, this will also allow the water to be siphoned out.

I would say to worry about it , if its flooding your house , need to open washer front panel ,start a new wash cycle and take a look to see where the water is leaking from , sounds like a broken hose under the tub that connects to the DRAIN MOTOR PUMP , AND BETTER have it fix right away cause if its getting to the main motor it could damage it , hope it helps AJ
