SOURCE: platter problem

THE PITCH slider or the variable resistor could have gone faulty. A new pitch is only $25 i think. They may need to salvage the pcb from your old one as technics no longer manufacters them. I've never seen the pitch led stay on lock when the actual pitch is not at zero. Hopefully the pitch did not short out the brake or the variable resistors on the motor's circuitboard.

keep me poted.

SOURCE: No control of platter speed

One of the drive circuits on the main board are faulty, and will need to be replaced. This is not an easy fix, so you will need to take it to a qualified service center for service and repair. Not an expensive fix, but a little time consuming in isolating the issue.

SOURCE: technics sl 1210 will not start up

did you ever open the turntable. It sounds like the on/off switch is bad. Remove the platter and screws with a phillips screw driver and just make sure the connections are in place. make sure you disconnect the power first. let me know what happens afterwards.

SOURCE: when i press Start/Stop button, the platter is not

The chances are the rubber drive belt has either broken or stretched so that it has fallen off the drive pulleys.
You will need to gain access to the underside of the turntable to replace it.
With most turntables the process will be to secure the tone arm (a rubber band will do the trick) before turning the whole thing upside down and unscrewing the base.
Replacement drive belts are easily available on the internet. Search by make and model number of your turntable

Received a Numark TT usb back in 2007. Just plugged it in for the first time ever. Installed EZ Converter on my powerbook, was all psyched to get going. The turntable powers on, but nothing happens when I...

Try moving the tone arm lever to raise the arm, if it has one.(MAKE SURE YOU HAVE RELEASED THE ARM CLIP!) Then with the arm raised move the arm over towards the platter. If platter still doesn't rotate, and its a belt drive, A. The belt is bad. or B. The belt has come off the platter or motor pulley.
