Needles will not go down for:
1. The lock on the hand wheel isn't locking. Try this
a. Loosen the lock like you're going to wind a bobbin.
b. Loosen screw that is on the side of the lock. (sometimes front)
c. Tighten the lock just like when you're going to sew.
d. Tighten the screw that is on the side of the lock.(sometimes front)
e. Turn hand wheel by hand. Did the needle rise and fall?
2. The drive belt isn't moving the shaft.
a. Remove the top of the sewing machine.
b. You will most likely have to remove the panel on the end where the hand wheel is.
c. Turn your hand wheel to see if the belt is moving the shaft or is it broken?
d. Replace if you need to. (look at wear). Loosen the motor.
e. Make your motor run (foot pedal) slowly. Tighten the belt by pushing on the motor while it is running. When the motor is placed at the right place the motor will be moving with very little drag. (This will need a listening ear)
f. At this point tighten motor and retest for the speed and drag.

Trying to sew a thick material, it just stopped and now I can't move it up and down . the wheel? doesn't have any effect on the needle in its stopped position. did I burn out the motor?

Sounds like some thing in the drive train to the plunger has broken, if it has a belt drive possibly the belt has broken or become dislodged.

How do get needle from under needle base

Sorry I didn't get enough information. Do you mean if you drop the needle down to the plate, how to get it? I so there is a screw under the machine arm. You should get use to open it to clean it once in a while because oil gets down here a lot. and when you open it you can reach inside the machine arm. Be careful when you re install it. After down so check if it is correct, moving the feet in up or down position. Hope it helps.

My needle won't go all the way down, it seem the side adjuster seem very tight. it was working but now it will only go all the way down when the bobbin case is removed. how do I fix this problem?

It may sound like a silly question,BUT is ur wheel not tightend down to the sew settings? Make sure you NEVER turn that wheel backwards to much.It will strip the gears. Is ur'Bobbin inserted right?I can't think of anything else.SORRY

My thread broke and now my needle wont go up or down what can i do?

If the needle wont go up and down at all when you turn the handwheel, it's most likely due to fluff and general muck has got into the basting stitch mechanism - this is a frequent failure on Artista models that have the basting stitch option. Try gently pushing the needle bar up at the same time as turning the handwheel ... with any luck the basting solenoid clutch will re-engage with the hole in the needle bar. If this works, it's only a temporary fix and tells you that your machine is overdue for a service !!!! Getting the gunge out of the basting mechanism needs to be done by a Bernina service agent. Trouble is, some embroidery patterns use the basting mechanism to raise the needle-bar out of the way whilst the hoop moves to a distant point on the embroidery, so if you 'fix it' using the above method, it may well fail again when you try to do another embroidery. Sorry !

How do i make the needle stop in the down position instead of the up position? New Home MX3123

You can't - it is only designed to always stop in the up position, then you can manually push the "needle down" button to make the needle go down while you turn a corner. The next model up the 4263 had the "stop down" option. Sorry.

The needle hits the plate and doesn't go down to grab the bobbin thread reguardles of the needle position.

Sounds like a timing issue, Unfortunately it is not a do it yourself job. You need special tools and the training to do it right. Sorry, but you are going to have it serviced.

Needle will not move..motor runs fine when pedal pushed down, but needle will not go up and down. Not in ''bobbin mode'' and knob is pushed in. (Sorry, still a beginner with all this, so I don't know all...

Check that the belt is tight, make sure you do not have any thread stuck in the machine, take the bobbin case out and the raceway completely to check

Bobbin filling on Singer 626

The Singer 626 has a self-winding bobbin. You place the empty bobbin in the bobbin thingie (sorry for being so untechnical). On the left of the bobbin you will see a "lever" with a circular top on it (I think it is red-ish) Again, sorry for being so untechnical. Press the "lever" down. Thread your machine, thread the needle, wrap the excess thread from the needle around the knob that tightens the needle and holds it in place and press your foot down on the foot pedal. The bobbin will automatically wind as you hold the foot pedal down. Do not wind the thread onto the bobbin past the outer white line.

Needle movement

It sounds like the needle bar of the machine has come loose inside. This will need setting in the correct position height wise or you risk damaging the hook. Sorry but it may need to go to the repairer.
