My machine wont make stitches . What could be wrong ?

We don't have much information to go on, like how is it not stitching. Is the machine actually functioning (needle going up & down, feed dogs moving, is the motor working, is it acting like it's stitching but the threads are not forming a stitch?)

I cant get my stitch Width Zig zag knob to turn om my bernina record 930. Any one have this problem?

Most likely because your machine has not been serviced (oiled & cleaned) in a long time and the old oil has turned to glue and seized. This is probably the most common problem with mechanical sewing machines. A mechanical sewing machine should be regularly maintained..ie every 40 hours of sewing use or at least every six months when not in use. You may want to take it to a Bernina service technician. Ask for a bottle of Bernina oil for CB hook machines and ask if they will show you how to oil it.

My machine Bernina 830 does not run

Bernina 830 won zig zag won buttonhole no decorative stitch

The foot petal took off by it self and the I turned it off and the all the stitch lights came on and won't sew

You probably have an electrical short in the pedal, pedal cord or the machine. Take it in for repair.

Janome mystyle 28 won't stitch stretch material

Try a ball point needle which is for stretch fabrics. Using the wrong needle can cause skipped stitches.

Serger won't chain off a stitch. Stitches won't chain and hold to fabric. Added new needle, rethreaded whole machine. Stitches won't connect to fabric or make a chain.

is it possible that the needles are in backwards?
it's very possible that the machine is out of time & would have to be taken to a sewing machine repair shop to be retimed

Sewing machine won't take a single stitch

WOw Paying attention would have been best...Thread machine properly of course, insert bobbin spinning in the correct directions
a simple top stitch sounds fine. Go On You Tube and look for your machine, and a descent video of someone using it.

It will sew three to five stitches and will stop. press go petal again and it will sew three to five stitches and stop

If its an older machine the foot conrtoller is probably in need of repair or replacement. A newer machine , computerized especially, will have electronic issues.
