Boiler not getting up to temperature fast enough. If it is an electric boiler, there is a problem with the heating element. If it is oil o rgas fired, you do not have a flame or the boiler temperature is not reaching 180 degrees F.

We have a rheem hot water heater selfkleen. Does that mean that it never needs to be flushed out for sediment?

The way it is designed on the water inlet it is supposed to cause the water to swirl around the tank wall to help keep sediment from building up. I would still recommend draining and flushing every couple of years if your water has a very high mineral content. Thank you.

How to de-lime the water heater?

you need to pump cheap vinagar through it for 15 min. This means that you need to turn off the power and isolate the water heater from the rest of your plumbing. When you are done you need to flush the heater with water before turning the power back on.

How reliable is your AC? With the digital r/c connected, every time the heater recovers from power outage it's in the OFF default state. If you can not fix the power issue, disconnect the remote control. The w/h will recover in the ON state.
