Need to connect to internet
Depends upon where you live. MY question is though, why are you not using the built in WIFI to connect to the Internet? It is there for the using. Unless there is something wrong with it, of course. Be advised, unless you have an Internet Account (via an ISP), or are near a free WIFI connections, just having an adapter won't get you connected to the Internet. It's not the same as putting up an antenna and receiving broadcast TV signals. Since we last talked, I looked into a Firewire network adapter. They don't seem to exist. The problem is that the 1394 standard never got up on its own two feet, as the USB 2.0/3.0 overwhelmed it. SO, if you are looking for an external WIFI adapter, you'll most likely need a USB dongle. Sites like Newegg.com and TigerDirect.com can assist you. You can even get wireless adapters at your local Walmart!
