You need to replace the battery. It will most likely be a coin sized battery in a slip in holder on the main board. If you need help, here is ROland Customer Service contact info-
Support Roland
After that, you can reset the E96 back to the factory settings by following the directions here-

SOURCE: i have a roland e96 that showed the message_INTERNAL BATTERY WEAK every time i switch on and the display of screen is empty

It's likely a coin battery, like the type in a computer, used to keep the bios or settings ram user settings (whatever)memory

Testimonial: "ialready changed the internal battery and recet the factory settings but still the same problem"

I lost the internal data of roland e96

If you are referring to the User Data, then yes that would be gone.
Time to reset and start re-programming

Roland pad 80 is it normal for the lcd display to show a bar of squares and nothing else when pluged in to power and not pluged into anything else?

The Roland Pad 80 has a contrast control, if it's not correctly adjusted, it could cause it to appear all black or all blank.

If the LCD were bad, it's uncommon for both sections to both go out around the same time, since it uses two seperate 7 segment LCD components. About the only way to cause both to go out at about the same time, would be to get the equipment wet, or let it get way too hot or left sitting out in the sun, long enough to dry up the "liquid" part of "Liquid chrystal display".

Does anyone know hot to change a Roland E-70 musical keyboard's internal battery?

Well I did it. Remove 14 screws marked with arrows. Be careful separating the top from the bottom as there are several cables to deal with. The only cable I disconnected was the larger Ribbon Cable. The CR 2032 battery slides out by lifting the end of the retainer about 1/16 of an inch. Then simply slide in the new battery and make sure it is seated. Then just reassemble.

Hi, I am undecided about which digital piano to buy: Yamaha Arius 141 or Roland F110? help appreciated, thanks, karol.

I have two Yamaha's and I will say they are maintainable. Almost ALL the weighted piano key models use a keyboard made by one company as I understand it. I can easily get service manuals for the Yamaha, not quite as easy for the Roland... same goes for repair parts. Your decision... listen to each and decide. Hint: Use a set of headphones to do the compparision rather than internal speakers as the orientation in a music store can drastically change the sound.

My roland xp-50 keyboard is dead.

Ok guys. Just got mine XP50 fixed with the "No Display" problem. The LCD screen was blank without text and only shown orange color. The problem is one of the capacitors on the main board was dead. I have replaced all 3 caps on the main board and the problem is solved and if you are a little handy on soldering, you can do it yourself. The 3 caps you should replace are:

- C901 (I used 16V 330MicroF)
- C65 (I used 5V 4.7 MicroF)
- C 902 (I used 16V 330 MicroF)
