It sounds like there's a problem with the charger. The wire on the charger is rather delicate. So is the port on your tablet where the wire plugs in. There may be a break inside the wire. If you dropped your tablet while the wire was plugged in and it hit the floor on the charger plug, the charger plug could have damaged the charging port in the tablet or the wire itself could be damaged.
Find someone else who has the same tablet and ask to switch chargers to see if either of them still work on the other tablet. If your friend's charger starts charging your tablet without a problem, then the problem is a a broken wire in your charger. If neither charger will charge your tablet but both chargers charge your friends tablet without a problem, then the problem is with the charging port on your tablet.

Try an overnight charge. Sometimes the battery died completely. If it still does not respond to charging, either your charger or charging port may be damaged.

Kindle will not shut off-goes to shut off or cancel but wont move. doesnt charge well-doesnt always hold charge

Patricia, Using the power switch, you can forcibly reset your Kindle device. This reset will shut down the Kindle without accessing the shutdown command from within the Kindle's operating system, a particularly useful tool when dealing with a frozen Kindle. To initiate a hard shutdown, Kindle disconnect from its charger, slide and hold the power switch for about 20 seconds. This will force the Kindle to shut down, now it can be restarted normally.

Can I buy a power cord that charges while you are using the tablet?

all tablets can charge while you are using them, on rare occasion the battery will completely discharge and will need to be charged to the minimum before operating the tablet.

My Tablet keeps shutting down, uses Battery quickly, won;t even find wireless, when it stays on long enough.

You neglected to provide the age of the tablet. If it's a couple years or older your battery might be on the way out. They don't last forever and some of them aren't of the best quality to begin with. Charge it all night long. In the morning when you turn it on if it still doesn't work right be sure to check the battery level with the A/C adapter unplugged. The level indicators are based on the voltage. If the voltage doesn't come up to spec, it might show less than 100% charge even when charged overnight.

The wi-fi problem could be battery related, too, as wi-fi is a radio transceiver that sends as well as receives signals. Wi-fi doesn't work so well if the transmitter produces a weak or intermittent signal.

AC adapter/charger is attached, but the battery will not charge. it doesnt even show that the battery is there

Ifthe laptop battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be wornout. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cyclesand will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up atall. ORThe battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected thebattery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. Ifthe battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to bereplaced.
