Unfortunately, facebook does not have a customer service (since it is a free service), so you cannot contact them to get the password. In order to check her postings and pictures, you must either be a friend of her on facebook (assuming that she makes that content available to friends), or, you must get her password directly from her to log on to her profile. If you decide to deactivate (close) her account, then you must be logged into her account. Once logged into her account, go to "account", and, under "Settings", make sure that there is only one email associated with the account (delete as necessary), then you will find Account Deactivate. Once you click deactivate, you will be required to give a reason (you can select from one of the multiple choice responses, or explain in the other box (I would also recommend checking "Opt out of receiving emails from Facebook."). Next, go to
Facebook - Deletion Page, and click Submit, and follow instructions. Your account will be deleted if you don't log in for 2 weeks, so it is critical that you do not let her log in during that time period.
Note: Even though you have closed the account, it is still possible to create another with the same email address. Also, if you want to make sure that your daughter does not log on during the two weeks, I would recommend changing the password and changing the associated email to your own, so that she cannot try to recover, and/or reset the password in order to log on.
