To Change your Ring Type:
1. Press the Feature button, then * 6
2. Press the number keys 1 – 4 to hear the different ring types
3. Press the OK softkey when you hear your desired ring
Since the phone is stupid, you really need to say what cabinet you have. Preference out in my system is reach by dialing program 19 and STORE then AUTO ANS changes the mode and STORE saves it. YMMV
As far as button mapping. press PROG and the CO button on the lower left. If the display doesn't say CO-1 or Single Line 001, then you can dial 0 1 to make it so. It would be best to do this on a working phone and write down what the buttons are from bottom to top, then go to your phone and duplicate it.
In programming 0 is CO lines, 1 is extensions, 2 is speed dial, and there are a whole raft of codes for VTR, CID Log, and 2 Way VM features that are in the user guide.
Sounds like your station (phone) is set to not ring. You need to check your ring assignment.
Feat # *
Enter password (default is 000000)
Press the soft key under "show"
Press the soft key under "next" until 1. STATION appears in the display.
Press the soft key under "show" SHOW STA:_ appears.
Enter your station number and press the show soft key
Press the "next" soft key until RING ASSIGNMENT shows on the display.
Press the "show" soft key. You will see CO LINE 1 : followed by NONE or DAY or NITE or BOTH.
If it says NONE, your phone never rings for an incoming call. If DAY or NIGHT your phone rings depending on the time of day and the time definitions for DAY and NIGHT programmed into the KEY unit. If it says BOTH, your phone should ring all the time.
If you need to change the setting, press the "chg" soft key until the desired setting comes up.
When you're done with LINE 1, press the "next" soft key to move to the next line. Repeat the process for all your active lines. Obvisously changing settings on lines with no CO connection will have no affect.
While your in the mode, check your RECEIVE ASSIGNM as well to make sure your phone is configured to receive incoming call. It was the station feature just before the RING ASSIGNMENT feature.
There is no setting in the phone that will show you the Caller ID number without the name. It sounds like your telephone company is not sending the name.
