My Laptop does not turn on anymore... When i insert the ac adapter a the power light flash instantly and gone... but my laptop doesnt charge or turn on...:( i have tried replacing the adapter but...

Take the battery out and run directly from the ac adapter. If it works then the battery is blown up. But if nothing happens and there is no activity then motherboard fuses may have blown or worse the motherboard is faulty. Look for another laptop in that case.

Ac keeps shutting

Hi,
Remove the battery and plug in the AC adapter. If you can not power on the laptop, your AC adapter has gone bad on you and will need to be replaced.

If it will turn on with the AC adapter, place the battery while the laptop is on. See if it registers the battery as charging in the task bar. If not, there may be something wrong with the battery or the components connecting to the battery within the laptop.
Also you can below steps to check:
1) take the battery out of your laptop and the laptop charger
2) plug your laptop charger in your laptop without the battery in it,
3) Try to turn it on the normal way:
If it turns on, then your battery has gone, (Its drained and run out of use like all batteries do)
if it stays off then its a charger problem
You would want to hope its a charger problem as they are cheap and easily replaceable
Hope i helped
I guess its a charger problem because its not turning on and the laptop automatically would use the charger as a main power supply if the battery doesn't work
and oh by the way
If the battery isn't in it, your laptop will act as a pc whereas if you plug the charger in it will work, but if you take it out while the laptop is on then it will go off instantly without a successful shutdown which could mean a loss of work

Laptop reboots when ac adapter reattached.

Hello,
There are three parts in the computer that you need to check.
1. Ac Adapter - it could be defective.
2. Battery - it could be that the battery and ac adapter won't work together because the battery has gone bad. We cannot tell without checking that.
3. Motherboard - it could be that the motherboard's power port is defective.
Do the following so that you can isolate the problem.
1. Remove the battery and use the Ac Adapter only and turn on your computer. If it turns on without any problem, then replace your battery.
2. If the computer still reboots with the ac adapter plugged in (no battery), then replace the ac adapter. or try using a different ac adapter which is compatible with your computer and check if it produces the same problem. If the other adapter produces the same problem, then it's in your motherboard and you need to get it fixed by a technician.

Hello. Today in the morning my laptop (Asus A8Jseries) was working alright. Then after 6 hours when i tried to turn it on, it didn't. I mean, it starts to work and Asus symbol comes alone, but then it just...

If it happens only when you move the adapter plug inside the power jack, it's likely that you have a problem with the power jack inside the laptop. The power jack has to be resoldered or replaced.
If it happens even without touching the adapter plug, the problem could be related to the faulty power adapter.
You can test the power adapter with a voltmeter and find out if the ouputed voltage is correct. If the voltage is not correct, replace the adapter.

But don't trust that even if the output votage matches specifications. It's possible that the power adapter doesnt' work correctly under load. Test your laptop with another known good adapter. If the laptop works fine with another adapter, your power adapter is defective and has to be replaced.

My Acer aspire 4935 is not recognizing the AC adapter. When ever I shutdown the system and connects the AC adapter, it works and the charging LED lights up. Once I press the power button to boot the...

Problem description:The battery charges only when the laptop turned off. The battery charge LED lights up as normal and the battery gets charged to 100% while the laptop is off.
When the laptop is turned on, the battery charge LED goes off even if the adapter is still plugged in.
Possible cause:1. AC power adapter failure.
2. Battery failure.
3. Broken/loose power jack.
4. Motherboard failure.
Possible troubleshooting steps and repair solution:1. This problem could be related to a faulty AC power adapter. It's possible that the AC adapter doesn't provide enough power when plugged into the laptop. To find out if this is your problem, you'll have to test the laptop with another working adapter.Replace the adapter if needed.

2. There is a slight chance that you have bad battery. Test the laptop with a know good battery and replace the faulty one if needed.

3. The battery charge problem could be related to the power jack. Maybe the jack is broken or not making good contact with the motherboard. It is necessary to remove the motherboard and take a closer look at the power jack. Resolder or replace the jack if needed.

4. If the power jack is in a good working shape and new power adapter with battery do not fix the problem, most likely you have a faulty motherboard. Replace the motherboard if needed.

It just wont turn on i have checked the power lead and its ok its an acer aspire 5050 laptop

Hi. I would suggest you double check the ac adapter if the powercord is properly attach to it ot also you might want to try powerdraining or powercycling your computer. To do this you must turn off your laptop then remove the battery and unplug the ac adapter then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds while the battery and ac adapter is out, after that place back the battery and plugin the ac adapter and try turning on your laptop, if this doesnt work then try power draining it again and just use the ac adapter or just plug it in without the battery then try again turning it on. If it still has the power issue then try a known good ac adapter so that you could double check that it is not an ac adapter issue or a battery issue. If all that trouble shooting step doesnt work then you could also try calling acer tech support to help you on your issue if your machine or laptop is still under warranty they would help you fix it by sending that laptop to there depot without any charge. Hope this Helps

Ac adapter connection inside laptop doesnt work, light for battery charging will not turn on and will not charge

You adapter may be faulty, check it with a multi-meter, the voltage reading for a functioning adapter should be slightly higher than the voltage that is printed on the label on the adapter.
If you do not get a voltage reading then the adapter is faulty and you need to get a replacement adapter.
If you get a reliable voltage reading at the adapter plug, then connect it into the laptop and wriggle this plug. If the charge LED blinks. then the power connector on the laptop is loose/faulty and needs repairing.
