How do i install SPSS on my lenovo ideapad? i have to use this at my university, but my computer says it cannot istall it? i can get it free from from my university. please help
I am transferring from a flash into the system, the spss is on file manager in my documents, when i tried to click and download the option are not directing adequately

Or,if you have the original Win 8 cd and product key,you can re-install Win 8 and during the process partition the hard disk. But doing this may result in losing all your data.
2. While the IdeaPad is turned off press the small button that is on the left hand side of the power button, it looks like a looping arrow symbol. You will need a small pen or a small needle to press the button.
3. Once you press the small button the Lenovo IdeaPad will boot up and automatically take you straight to the Bios menu.
4. Select the options that you need to change- such as changing the Function key settings. Exit the menu and save the settings. Once you reboot the computer it will take you back to Windows.
This is a setting in you BIOS. Try changing to AUTO under the SATA drive settings by pressing F key during boot. It will be noted on screen during startup.
I would stay away from a OS upgrade till your are certain all hardware and software is compatible. It is a lot of work if it does not work properly.
If your Ideapad is the U3 or U5 version just pop in the disk that you have bought and it will autostart. If your Ideapad is the U1 or U3 (so it doesn't have optical unit) and you have bought the boxed version then your only option is to copy the content of the disk to a USB stick and run the setup from there.
