The choke is not shutting off or u must do it. Look at the controls

Rocky , start by replacing spark plug and remove old gas for new.

chech to see if plug bad make sure you are getting spark if it is spray some starting fluid in it see if it starts if it does checkfor water in gas if no rebuild carb should run

flooded????,,turn off petrol, take out spark plug,,give a few pulls then replace plug turn on fuel and give it a try,,cheers,hope this helps.

You're right to check the flywheel key - are you certain it's ok? Also our instinct is to tip the machine over to clear the obstruction, which can send oil to places it shouldn't be! Does the machine have compression? It's possible to break the con-rod if you hit something really solid. You can check the piston's still moving by taking out the spark plug and inserting something like a cable tie in the plug hole. As you turn the engine over you should be able to detect the piston moving up and down. The jolt could also have dislodged coke in the engine that could foul the spark plug. Try fitting a new one. Come back to me if none of these solutions work..

I have the same mower and I have the choke assembly complete, I will take a picture for you if you want to show you what should be there? Mine wont start at the moment wondering wether its the magneto

Check air filter, check screen in bottom of fuel tank,
New spark plug and also check the spark.
If there is a weak spark, the coil may need to be replaced.

If you have good spark, clean air filter, and clean fuel tank screen, then the carberator will need to be pulled of and cleaned out with solvent

Fuel in the oil indicates an excessively rich condition. To correct, you will need to drain the petrol contaminated oil and replace with new. Then, take out the old spark plug and leave the spark plug hole open. Turn the engine over several timesby hand to help vent any raw gas in the cylinder. Then, install a new spark plug.
You should be able to now start your engine and make any other adjustments with it running.
