How to wire a 3 way switch: http://youtu.be/7smZbyBSVTg

and Google.com has a lot of pictures and info....

https://www.google.com/search?site=&source=hp&ei=xtUCVaOcFsX2yQTioIKYDA&q=wiring+instructions+leviton+6643&oq=wiring+instructions+leviton+6643&gs_l=mobile-gws-hp.3...5273.5273.0.6545.3.2.1.0.0.0.137.137.0j1.1.0.msedr...0...1c..62.mobile-gws-hp..2.1.117.3.3RsINGRP7ak#q=how+to+wire+a+three+way+switch

for the most part it's a simple system, that requires three wires, one Hot or Common wire, and two traveler wires,
On one end of the three way the common is the light or wire that goes to the light, two travelers to the next three way switch that usually has power as the common wire... hope this helps?
If not contact me, I can walk you threw the process... thanks

I have an electrical? I have a switched outlet that I'm trying to convert the switch to a toggle switch so I can run a separate light in the ceiling. I only get power on the white wire coming from the...

The way I was wired, the power is running from your device to the switch (called backfed) the ground is self explanatory and the other wire is your switch leg that will be energized when you flip the switch. With the general info out of the way, I'm not quite sure what you're trying to do or what you mean by a toggle. Could you please be a little more specific about what you're trying to do? I might be able to help you a little better that way!

I need to know the connections for the switch on the Braun 4250 Food processor. Took it apart a while back and now cant remember the connections! HELP PLEASE

If it's just a single switch and two wires that go to it, it doesn't matter which way it goes. One is normally open not allowing electricity to pass, and when the switch closes it completes the circuit. NO/NC may be listed on the switch. If theres only two terminals, it doesn't matter which way the wires go.

Hi, one of my room lights will not switch off - it has been working without problem for at least 3 years. I have replaced the switch with one that has been tested in another room without success. Is there...

If the switch is good, then it has to be the way the switch was wired up. (Assuming that this is just a single basic light switch and not a 2 way switch, or a 2 or 3 way circuit.)If the switch is good, then it has to be the way the switch was wired up. You can check this site that has the instruction and pictures to show how the switch should be wired up. http://www.ehow.com/way_5233404_proper-single-pole-light-switch.html

I have a GE smart timer 15086 I followed the instruction and the light blinks when you turn it on. Please help

I test timers, and no damage is done.
http://waterheatertimer.org/GE-timers-and-manuals.html#15086

Sounds like you wired red and white wires together, or installed timer in place of 3-way switch.
15086 will not replace a 3-way switch.
For example, when 2 switches control hallway light, that is 3-way.
Link above has list of timers that replace 3-way switch.

How to wire 15071, 15086, 15265, 15266 timers:
1) Switch has 2 insulated wires. Take switch wires and connect them to timer-black-wire and timer-red-wire. Choose either one for now.
2) In back of electric box are white wires twisted together and covered with wire nut. Connect timer-white to these wires. This will power timer electronics.
3) If electric box does not have white wires described above, then connect timer-white to bare ground, along with timer-green wire.
4) Turn on electricity, and push ON-OFF button located in each corner. If lights come on, timer is wired correctly. If lights do not come on, then reverse timer-red and timer-black wires.

Im installing a two way switch and have one hot lead. going crazy please help

If I understand you correctly, your hot lead should attach to 1 switch and a common wire goes from that switch to the other switch. Here's a link to a good explanation of 2 way switch wiring. Essentially you run power to one switch, and that same switch sends power via 1 of 2 other wires to the second switch. The light (or other device) is then connected to the second switch. Hopefully the diagrams in the following link will help you. In any case you need 3 wires at each switch. Good luck!

3 core torpedo switch, how do I wire it?

BEFORE YOU PROCEED. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS INFORMATION IS FOR TRAINING PURPOSES ONLY. USE IT AS YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE WITH. I MAKE NO GUARANTEES TO YOU OR YOUR EQUIPMENT!!
Easiest way is to follow the old switches wires. However, if that is not possible. In electric circuits, White is always neutral, green is always ground any other color could be whatever. Most likely they will be hot. PLEASE NOTE-- This is only true with electric wires. Electronic wires will be different! It is important to understand that and know which code the fan is following. Most fans will follow the electric code but you best find out first! To wire this up, you will hook the hot wire to the center contact of the switch and the wire going to power up the fan will be on the other contact. The neutral should be straight wired through, not to the switch! I would also advise going to a hardware store or store that sells electric supplies and see if they have a how to book on wiring fans etc... That would be the wisest starting point!
