Try resetting to factory settings by holding both buttons down while turning the machine on - hold till lights stop flashing. Then programme both espresso and lungo buttons again in the usual way.
Hope this helps!

I have a krups XP 4050, it get a small amount of water through any and all methods,,but not enough. What is the most likely cause,,I am currently descaling, but don't know when this was done last.

Do you think it may need the amount ow water flow to be reprogrammed? If you think it's a possibility then when making your next coffee press and continue to hold down the 1 cup button until you have the amount of coffee you require in the cup. Then make another cup the normal way without continuing to hold the button, you should get the same quantity of coffee as the previous cup now.

How do i use the dolce gusto i put a pod in of chocolate and the machine just kept going it wouldnt stop when tje cup was full

I'm not familiar with that model but oftentimes programming the quantity of water will involve pressing and continuing to hold the button down until the desired quantity of water has been dispensed. Next time you press and release the button and it should stop when that same quantity is in the cup because you holding the button last time has programmed it for that amount.

Stop a whole litre of water going through each time i put a pod in.

The way to program the quantity of water is to press & hold the button you are programming until the amount of water you want is in the cup, then release it. Next time you make a cup with that same button with a single press this time it should cut off with that same amount in the cup. If that doesn't work then take it back, that is what a guarantee is for.

How do I fix when it only gives me half a cup

You can sometimes reprogramme cup quantities by continuing to hold the button down while the water flows and releasing it once you are at the desired level. Oftentimes the next cup will then be to that new level. Failing that read the book or search online for one if you don't have it.

My nespresso machine stops long before it should.

Most Nespressos that I have worked on have an auto programme function. Put the pod in and a cup under it, press AND HOLD the button down until desired quantity is in the cup. Release the button, that should programme it to deliver that same quantity next time.

The coffee coming out is too long and is getting progressively longer! We can no longer make a short coffee.

Goodmorning,

First you should adjust the level to place the cup on, once you did it, there is a pommel in the center of the machine, that regulates the lenght of your coffee (small cup icon is ristretto/small quantity on the left and big cup icon is lungo/big quantity) you just have to turn the pommel on the lenght desired.

Good work!

Recieved one as a gift lost instructions how much rice to water

Check this procedure:
* Before cooking, rinse rice in warm water until water becomes clear. Then place the rice in the inner pot with fresh water.
* Take care to use proper water to rice ratios.
* Use a 1:1 ratio of rice to water plus Ā½ cup of water for white rice and a 1:1 ratio plus Ā¾ cup of water for brown rice.

TIPS:
# You may wish to tweak the "rice to water ratio" with experience - for example: for larger quantities of rice, you may find a little less or more than one and a half the amount of water results in better rice.
# One cup of dry rice grains cooked in this way is about sufficient to accompany a meal for 2 adults.
# If the rice is a major component of the dish, you might need up to 1 cup of rice per adult.
# Your base measurement doesn't need to be a cup necessarily - the key is to add 1.5x as much water as rice, whatever the quantity.
# It works best to use the original lid of the pot you use, since it will seal best.
# When the rice first boils, it might weep a bit or even lift the lid. Keep watch and an ear out for the start of the boil.
# These times and ratios are for white rice (e.g. Jasmine, Basmati, etc). If you are cooking brown rice you will need around 2C water to 1C rice and double the time.
# Salt is not necessary when cooking rice, but can be added. Unless you add a ridiculous amount of salt it will not significantly change the boiling temperature or time.
# Water boils at a lower temperature at altitude. If you live at a high altitude it will take longer to cook rice using this method.

I hope help with this (remember to rate this answer).

Does the coffee and water come automatically out of the coffee dispenser or do top up with water after coffee has been dispensed

It comes out together. You can adjust the amount by holding down the coffee button when making coffee and release it when it reaches the desire quantity. Can be adjusted on all three cups individually.

Kenmore microwave Model 72 8975590 (750 W) is taking longer to heat food. Takes 3.5 min to bring one cup water to boil, previously took 2,5 to 3 min. Does the element lose power over time?

I can adjust the power level so that circuitry seems to be ok. The longer water boil time could be partially due to the colder winter temperature of the inlet water. We'll just cook the food a bit longer as long as the magnetron is still working.

Cannot program the machine....

Hi
To program the machine for brew quantity, Just hold the button down the whole time,(do not release) As it is dispensing liquid, when you get to the desired quantity, release the button. You can do this for each cup size.
