If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years.
Check the cables, connectors and connections.
Take it to a repair shop.

I have a Emerson TV model# LC401EM2F that turns on and the screen comes on than shuts off. The red light is on and blinks when you hit the power button. I checked all capacitors and looked for any shorts in the boards but can not see anything wrong. Any suggestion? Thanks

Whirlpool washer Wtw4816w2 will not reset. Tried numerous times as explained in add details.

If you haven't power reset then;
Disconnect the Cabrio from power, unplug or flip breaker off.
Wait 5 minutes before restoring power.

If it still won't respond, then likely a control board/power and/or interconnect issue.

Re: tv kdl-55ex620 red light blink 8 times Do a Power Reset. 1. While the TV is off, unplug the power cord of the TV from the electrical outlet. 2. Let the TV remain without power for 60 seconds. 3. Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet. (If the television is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, remove it from the power strip or surge protector and plug it directly into the wall outlet. If the issue is resolved, the problem is with the power strip or surge protector and not the television.) 4. Turn on the TV. 5. When the TV powers on and a picture is displayed, reset the TV to factory default settings.
  • If the Reset message does not appear and the TV turns off and on, begin again from step 5.
  • If the standby light begins blinking eight times, return to step 1.
6. After the Reset message appears, allow the TV to reset. Do not press any buttons on the remote control or on the TV and do not make any other adjustments for 1 minute. 7. Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet. 8. Allow the TV to remain without power for 10 seconds. 9. Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet. 10. Turn on the TV.
  • The initial setup screen displays if the above procedures were performed correctly.
11. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the initial set up. 12. Perform a system software (firmware) update.

My tv clicks to come on but no sound no picture

If there was a power outage the problem is likely in the power supply.

The power light on the front comes on or not?

If no power light unplug the set and follow power cord inside and check the fuses---the click is a power relay activating---set may have up to 3 black relays on the power board.

Let me know your skill level and I will be happy to help.

Does not turn on, light flashes, it clicks once, the remote control will not even turn the light on

Please follow the below troubleshooting steps: 1. If the Television is plugged into a surge protector, remove it from the surge protector and plug it directly into the wall outlet. 2. Try connecting the TV to a different AC wall outlet. 3. Try power resetting the TV. To Reset the TV, disconnect the power cord for a short period of time (approximately 1 minute), then reconnect the power cord and power ON the TV. 4. If the issue still persists, TV will require service.

Mitsubishi WD-52525 was working fine and now it will not turn on

This is just a shot - but it worked with my Sony (same problem).
Pressed remote power on button AND held Power button on TV on at the same time.

Set clicked 4 or 5 times and then came on....

Other, most have a (VERY small) reset switch on the rear - near where the power cord enters the TV... Use a flashlight and a mirror to locate it on your set....
