Does this TV have 1080p and 120Hz. Also closed caption and a sleep timer. thanks

SETTINGS ? OPTION ? Caption View captions when the TV station provides captioned programing. Program captions work only on digital/analog broadcasts or external input. Change Caption to On or OFF. If On, then select caption settings. • Mode CC 1-4 (Closed Captioning) / Text 1-4 : Displays the audio portion of a TV program as text on the TV screen. CC1 is the most common mode in use. Field 1 data channels: two Captions (CC1, CC2), two Text (T1, T2). Field 2 data channels: two Captions (CC3, CC4), two Text (T3, T4). Service 1-6 : This is only available for the digital broadcasting system.

if you are using cable box or satelite box, you will need to turn on closed caption on that unit first.

It has nothing to do with the tv. Its all about the source. There are vey few sources that are capable of 1080p Blueray is one. Dish Network now has dish on demand in 1080p. Also that source has to be hooked up using high speed HDMI cable.

It has got to be the box. I would try to contact Scientific Atlanta if any way possible. The TV doesn't choose what inputs it shows CC.In other words, it would show it on all Inputs if it was the TV. Good luck and Thanks

Resolution such as 1080p,1080i etc. set by your source of the signal, for example, if your cable box set to 720p that is what you going to get from the TV. Cable box is ont capable of resolution more then 1080i because there is nobody broadcast in 1080p yet. Only way you can get 1080p is BD player, upconverting dvd player or media player. 120 Hz is just a frame rate convertor - takes stendard 60Hz and doubles number of frames to 120. So, you will see 120 frames per second instead of 60.

the tv only gives out as much as it can, you cant improve it, srry

Comcast's remote has nothing to do with closed captioning. It's on your tv remote. First, the tv has to be capable of handling closed captioning, and your's is- and second, the program must have closed captioning provided- current programs do, some older shows do not support closed captioning. Recheck your remote, and if necessary- look at the setup instructions that came with the TV- they should also be posted online at the Proscan support site.

If you have original remote for t.v. , hit the button under the sleep timer button on remote, and eventually the closed cation words will be removed from the bottom right corner of t.v. Hope this helps , good luck .....

this answer has given also to some one had the same problem.
"On your remote should be a button called TV caption or text. Turn off the closed caption as someone hit it and turned it on by accident. If its not on your remote, then it is in the menu." Good Luck
