I have two brand new GE 25932 5.8GHz phones set into the same phone line. I received a new voice mail today, and the phone registered it on the LCD screen (it has never done this before today; I've had them about a week). Now, it won't go away. I've tried unplugging the phones and reentering what the screen SHOULD say. I've also accessed my voice mail from an outside line to try to get rid of it. The user's guide only tells you that "New Voice Mail" means you have a new voice mail message. No troubleshooting. I'm stuck. Any help would be appreciated! new voice mail is stuck on display screen
Hi, I have the same problem. I called the service provider, they left a voice message, which I accessed later and deleted from my voicemail box. This took care of it and I dont have that message on the screen now. I think you can just leave yourself a voice message and access it later and delete it. That should resolve it.

I have a Motorola SD7561 C-51 Wireless phone with ATT as the service provider with U-verse. We had an extended power outage that lasted longer than the battery backup - two days. After the power was restored, the phone indicated that there was "New Voice Mail". What was so strange people left messages (after the power was back) when we were out and we were able to replay and delete them as usual but the "Voice Mail" light kept flashing.
SOLUTION: I signed on to my ATT U-verse account and saw that there were (3) messages that were stored during the power outage. I deleted these and the indicator light and "New Voice Mail" text on the displayed stopped.
There is an interface between my phone on my desk and ATT that is a lot more sophisticated than I thought. Good luck!!

Called GE. Here's what's happening (at least with my phone). I use VONAGE as a carrier. VONAGE's package includes voicemail. I have my VONAGE voicemail account set up to take any call that comes in if the answering machine on my GE phone does not pick up -- for instance if I'm on the phone and I do not "flash" over to the incoming call, that caller will eventually be sent to my VONAGE voicemail where they can leave a message. (Otherwise I would either take the call, or, if not already in use, the GE phone/answering system would simpy take the message.) This GE phone is commucating with my VONAGE account and letting me know that I have a mesage in my VONAGE account voicemail. All I have to do is either go online and delete the messages (after listening to them of course) and refresh the page. Once the messsages are deleted, the carrier lets my phone know the messages are gone and the NEW VOICE MAIL prompt on the handset disappears. I suppose I can do it by listening to the messages by calling in and deleting through the touch pad on the phone as well.

I have a 6.0 28111 DECT 6.0 cordless and the "new voice mail" message will not go away! Any ideas?
I have a Panasonic KX-TG1033 with exactly the identical issue. Manual says I need to contact my service provider to correct. I am not sure why the service provider needs to involved since this appears to be a phone issue.
