Question edited for a lot more clarity. All question need FULL 'make model (what it is)'.
Question moved from 'Power Computers' to Lowrance.
Your problem is in the boat. You either have a bad electrical connection, or a bad connection TO the transducer or the transducer itself is faulty. You can return the transducer under warranty or return it for testing. It is unlikely to be the internal memory IMO.
peoples eyes see colours differently my advice would be to go through the colour pallet & try each one till you find the colour that suits you will find a stand out colour for you.
It's either a software or processor malfunction. Make Lowrance fix it or make it right by you. 3 in a row all with the same issue means they have a major issue they need to resolve.
Don't take no for an answer. I've seen recurrent problems through the last couple of generations of mid priced 4" & 5" systems.
