How can i reload the uk map from the disc it is asking for a referance number to reload the origional map

Before you start To apply online you'll need either:

• the 16 digit reference number from your tax disc renewal letter (V11)
• the 11 digit reference number from your log book (V5C)

Don't use a website which isn't a .gov.uk website because there are scam sites which will try to charge you for paying for the tax
Of course if you aren't in the UK that won't be the right place to go, but I have no idea where you are.

Ensure the map data dvd that you have for the car covers the uk. it might only cover mainland europe is should state GB on the packaging or on the disk itself.
alteratively in the set up the previous owner may have removed uk maping or uk post codes from the system and they may needed to be reloaded.

if your system an navteq one prior to 2003? it is known that the mapping from that period did not support uk post codes i assume buying a new mapping software will resolve this issue. I would recommend checking with jaguar in case any system software upgrade is also needed to read later mapping data versions.

You can find them on torrentz sites...But when you do get them there is a maploader program on your original disc and also on the torrentz files... you just pick from the list! but you have to take out your SD card and put it in a card reader for the maploader program to see it?...hope this helps

i had a simalar problem -i asked for an update off garmin and they sent me a disc with apdated maps but didnt tell me i had to first delete the loaded maps you will have to go on the garmin website and order the FREE update disc for uk and ireland and just follow the instructions when you recieve it hope it works for you ;>)

You shouldn't have to connect to a computer. I don't have an OS map in front of me but I'm guessing they use UTM with a WGS 84 datum (if the map was produced after 1984 that is). Got to the Setup page then select Units. Change Position Frmt to UTM/UPS and Map Datum to WGS 84.
