I have the Samsung model: LN46E550F6FXZA, I can hear it power on, the red light on the front blinks 5 times then goes off. There is no sound or picture.

Tony, need some info for help like model number, age of set, can u unplug for 10 min. then turn back on, and since u have taken back off what have u tested or looked at?

Contact Samsung tech support, Tell them this info, they should be able to tell you the type of problem you have

Does the front light stays green ? Or goes back to red ? The back-light going on/off maybe the problem, but it shoul return with a red blinking led (4 times ?) and if so it can be a power inverter problem.

YOUR OTHER POWER SUPPLY IS GOOD, YOU NEED TO REPLACE THE Y-BUFFER AND Y-MAIN BOARDS

i have a philips tv model # 55pw9363/17f have sound no pic

I get 5 blinking red lights for about a minute or so before it powers back down. The Sony TV has a specific light that i presume is supposed to light up when the bulb is out. I'm unsure if this is what it is.
no picture, no sound. tries to boot with green light blinking a few times. then goes to red blinking light, six in all, then waits a few moments, then another 6 blinking red light.
Bulb was already replaced several months ago but we do have the TV on for long periods of time.

You really should give make & model number when posting, it helps us immensely, your lamp and possibly the ballast is bad, start with a new lamp first, odds are very good that it will fix your problem, can`t help more without manufacturer and model number, good luck, ps, order the original lamp, generics are junk and a waste of your money.
