Its the wash or rinse cycle that is tieing the clothes in knots not the spin cycle. Try putting less shirts in. It happens because of the agitation during the wash. Or pin the sleeves together.

Whirlpool front load washer (W-WFC7500VW1) was ran through the clean cycle. After this was preformed, the washer will not spin the clothes the dry. The washer will spin but never reaches the 'higher' spin...

I suggest going on the Whirlpool manufacturers website and check their forums for a similar problem. It could very well be something very easy to fix.

Clothes in bosche washer gets tied up in knots in spin cycle

Are you running a load according to the care labels?? If you run delicate or easy care items on a cotton wash this can happen. Just because an item is 100% Cotton doesn't necessarily mean it will tolerate a cotton cycle check the care label. Also, if for example a cotton cycle is 6Kg, the easy care will be 3-4Kg, Delicate and woollens will be approx 2Kg. Overloading can cause items to knot during cycle. Finally, check that your inlet water is not too hot. Repost if you need any further assistance

Whirlpool cabrio model WTW7340XWO ties cloths into a knot when spinning

You buy another top load high efficiency machine and load the clothes in same manner, you will get same result. No matter whether it is whirlpool or samsung or LG.

If you buy Maytag, Amana, KitchenAid, JennAir, Roper, Inglis and even sometime Kenmore. You will be buying the same Whirlpool Corporation machine with a different face plate.

hey listen your machine drum gone

Spin doesn't drain the water and ties clothes up in knots.

If it's a FAV6800AW or FAV9800AW.? Do you want to DIY a fix? As stated you are on your own no help form the Maytag repair man. With limited info from your post I'm guessing you are failing in spin cycle with dc or UC errors is that the issue?

If this is the issue and you or someone you know has basic mech. skill sets you can repair with a $50 clutch replacement. See this post for the details and decide the direction you want to go. Will be around if you need additional help.

Dear shelldon39, Fri 2-20-2009 9:24pm EST (USA)

Some machines will shut down during the spin cycle as a precaution to prevent damage!

They will do this if you overload the washer with clothes and/or use too much detergent!

If this doesn't help please get back to me with more details!

Whirlpool Ultimate Care II spin cycle not functioning correctly

It sound like the basket is out of balance. When it spins open the lid and see if the basket is moving side to side and back to back. If so look under the deck and see if there is springs or rubber ties attached to the basket.

Excess water in clothes after spin cycle

Unblock the outflow pipe from the machine that goes into the sump under the sink. (have a pot ready for water overflow) This will help drain the water. If the spin cycle is making a screetching sort of noise then it is possible that the carbon brushes will need changing. This affects the spinning if the brushes are worn.
