On Sat I've changed the time on my kenmore stove, did as instructed and it was OK but few seconds later the display went black, push the clock button and the display show the right time (meaning the clock is working perfectly), but few seconds later, again the display is black, what am I doing wrong or why the time is not showing? Baking time and temperature is showing and staying in display but the clock time does not stay??!! Please help me we have disconnected the range few time and no luck, but when not touching the time the clock continiu workingand displaying but blinking because has not been set up yet, once is set up to the righ time few seconds later display becomes black??!!

They say to hold the button for 14 seconds or til it beeps, for it to stay on.

try holding down clock button.. when you 1st hold it down it will appear.. keep holding til it disappear.. then when it comes back on let go of button.. if clock button don't try another like + or - sign.. good luck.. mike

I found capacitor c3 (68 uf 35 volt) had leaked and dried up, causing the display to fail. I unsoldered and tested c1, c4, c7, and made sure they were good, using a digital multimeter with the ability to test capacitors. C3 also had visible signs of leakage. Works like a charm again, and the display is bright like new!

My experience (Kenmore Ultra-bake Model 665-72002102) was that E1 F5 meant an error with the oven lock switch. In our case, the latch was partly stuck from food or other debris. Just moving the latch back and forth loosened the scale that was making it stick, and it worked again.
