Put a tv onto av mode without using the remote?

Without a remote control, you can't select its inputs. To select a proper universal remote control, you should know about the number of digits to its set-up codes. There are 3 digit, 4 digit, 5 digit, 2 digit and even single digit codes, to some brand devices. After confirming this, check the sites linked here. Check which brand remote control has set-up code/s to your device brand, and buy that one according to availability. Yes, you change your channel to '00' or go up to '101' and then press up button on tv then it will automatically comes to '00'

Please try using a univerrsal remote as the AV is switched only externally by this way. The other option is to short the AV switching transistor from the output of the processor but for this you must identify the pin and do it with care not to tamper the circuit.
This can make the AV to be ON and so help you with the cam.

You might try hitting the MENU button on the tv itself to see if you are able to select input / source that way. Some TVs also have the Aux Inputs selected by scrolling through the channels until you come to the aux inputs.

If you cannot reach the AV input mode by scrolling through the channel up down, nor is there is a source or TV/AV button on the set it self, then the news is bad I am sorry. You will need the remote to get AV inputs on this set.
You can get a new remote for the set from here for $1995. Plus postage. Note that it has the TV/AV button.

connect camera to dvd on the dvd were you connected into will have (e.g EXT or AV 1-2 or 3 printed on it) you should put dvd on to that input mode by pressing input/saurce on remote then put tv on the input mode you watch dvd on
to record press on remote

I dont know if you tv has this sertting but click menu usally 4 times and it will bring u to a page wich might say channel or something else and u can chane the channel by using the volume buttoms this worked for me and i can put it onto av1 av2 av3 and av4

well if you change the channel to the highest it goes some TV can be changed to a/v mode

or the lowerest number under 2 sometime a/v might be there

remote stop working due to batteries or drop remote, might have to be replaced either abtteries or whole remote.

get a universal remote if i wer you it may solve it but they do cost a bit ... look on the bright side you can tune those to any tv in the world =)

you would need to purchace a universal control you can find these in shop like currys ask the teqs there or look on ebay for a remote like your old one
