Morning I need help please regarding my gas oven (Beko SCG7530). The problem is when i turn the gas knob on,(push and hold for say 10 secs)the oven works fine, but as soon as the knob is released the gas oven goes out! All the hobs on the stove work fine its just the oven/grill. I've looked at several forums which are confusing. Could it possibly be the coil or Thermo coupling? If so can purchase the parts & get someone to fit them?. Please help Thanks Sugar

Sugar,
Sometimes it takes a minute or longer for the thermocouple to get hot enough to send the correct voltage to the main part of the gas valve to get it open & the burners to light. If after a few attempts of turning the pilot knob to off, waiting a couple of minutes and then going thru the lighting process, your problem is the thermocouple. Most repair companies will NOT install YOUR parts because of the liability & warranty issue. The best bet is to call a repair co & explain what the problem is & tell them to bring a thermocouple with them. Sears or calling your local BBB is your best course.

Good Morning Friend,

I understand that your Electrolux double oven, model# DD060GA, is having trouble with the bottom oven coming on. I also see that your top oven works just fine. This appears to be a UK Electrolux double oven. I suggest contacting the manufacturer directly. They will be able to better assist you in getting your bottom oven functioning correctly.

Cant get oven to Work after powercut, display says "stop". Can any one help?

You need to reset it by the looks of it. Try pushing and holding in any programme buttons / knobs for 5 sec or so to re set the thing. Even turning off the main power switch at the wall for sev min if it has one. another posibility is that the powercut has produced a surge or spike that has damaged the onboard "computer" -hopefully not.

CANNOT FIGURE OUT HOW TO CALIBRATE THE OVEN. OVEN TEMPERATURE IS OFF 50 DEGREES. INSTALLED A NEW THERMACOUPLE. THIS DID NOT HELP THE PEOBLEM. OVEN WAS PURCHASED IN 1992. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP.

Without the Model Number I can only give you Basic instruction.

If your machine is Digital the best way to calibrate if find the manuel of your machine useing your Model number.

Some of the digital models : select bake and press and hold the up or down Temp button for 5 Sec to enter the calibration mode.

Some models require you do get the temp to over 400 deg befor you can enter the Calibration mode.

If your machine has a turn knob ... Take the knob off and see if there is a small screw in the center... This is the calibration screw.

How do you light the pilot light for the oven?

At the risk of stating the obvious, you have pushed down the igniter switch long enough for the thermo couple to pick up the naked flame and therefore hold the gas valve in the open position? Usual only about 10 secs but can be up to 30....
