How do i adjust the brightness on a dell studio?

Let me guess it is too bright in a dark room?

the dell site has xp vista and w7 driver only for this old PC
if the device manager shows, keyboard drivers missing then try the one below marked,

oops dell lost the users manual after 9 long years, sadly
see the 2 keys below, blue, sun Icons
you push Fn blue key left side of keyboard
then push SUN key down. lower red arrow below.
if this fails to lower the backlamps
that means the drivers are missing. xp,.vista,w7 are all dell supports. (NO OS stated by OP nor hyjackers. as is par here)
Fn+down-arrow : key. if dead driver is wrong.!!!

Remove battery and AC power, press power button for 30 seconds. reconnect ac power and try again.
Also check the hot keys (brightness) usually Fn and F6, see if that help

To adjust the brightness in Pinnacle Studio all you have to do is to click on Toolbox>add Video Effects. Standard RTFX then auto color correction.s

Hi. Restart your system and press F2 key when you see the Dell Screen. You can adjust the Screen brightness or contrast from there. See if that'll help!!!

Have you tried adjusting first the brightness level? If nothing happens when adjusting it, the LCD and LCD cable needs to be replaced. If im not mistaken, i believe there is no backlight/inverter that can be replaced since its already built in the LCD. Some Dell laptops have inverters like Studio 1737 that can be replaced. Hope this helps

xp might be the screen saver settings. vista or windows 7 check power options in search

If its running on batteries the screen brightness will dim quite a bit. If on AC adapter it should be full brightness, but this is adjustable in either case. With the computer up and running, press and hold down the Fn key and push the up arrow to make it brighter and the down arrow to make it dimer.

there's a buttong located on your monitor. just look for it then set up brightness to watever display u want.

Brightness is adjusted by using the 2 buttons on the left side of the front.
