How do I reset the clock to reflect eastern standard time in America?

Have you checked the owner's manual? If your Nissan has GPS, there may be settings to use GPS to update your time for the current time zone.

you should see a SET button, press and push hours button..

Is the picture the type of clock your referring to? If so you cant set the time zone on that type of clock. You can change the time though.

On the home page, tap the gear icon at the top. Tap "More...". Tap "Date & Time". Tap "Select Time Zone". Scroll if necessary and tap "Eastern Time GMT-5:00".

REmove the batteries and power for a few minutes. Then reconnect. It may take it a day to re-sync with the NBS standard clock.

TIME ZONE SETTING
The cefault time zone is PACIFIC. lf your location is not in the Pacific zone, set the
time zone as follows:
1. In normal time mode, press the "[,4ODE" key to enter the alarm time mode. 2. ln aiarm time mode, press and hold the ADJ . 'Cl"F" key for 2 seconds to enter
the time zone setting mode.
3. Press ihe "ADJ "C/'F" key to select the proper time zone: P=Pacific
M=Mountain C=Central E=Eastern 4. Press the f,'lODE key to save and exit the time zone setting mode, or let it exit
automaiically 30 seconds later without pressing any key.

First, make sure the time is set correctly – Eastern Standard Time (EST) is the default
Press the Alarm Mode button – it has options for Weekend, meaning Sat and Sun only; Weekdays (Mon-Fri), and Everyday
While holding either the ALM 1 or ALM 2 button, press up or down to set the correct wake-up time
Release ALM 1 (or 2) when you are finished
