How do i fix the play button on br-900cd does not engage when pressed

Press [UTILITY].

– Press CURSOR [] to move the cursor to “INI,” then press [ENTER].

– Press CURSOR [] to move the cursor to “CARD,” then press [ENTER]. The confirmation message “Are you sure?” appears in the display.

– To continue the initialization, press [ENTER]. To cancel, press [EXIT] or [UTILITY].

When [ENTER] is pressed, initialization begins. When the initializing has been completed, “Completed!” appears in the display. The message “Keep power on! Song creating…” then appears in the display, and a new song is automatically created. In this case, the data type selected is HiFi (MT2). When the creation of the song is finished, the play screen returns to the display.

Hello, that seems to be a bad contact on the enter button, the solution is to take a part the key and clean it, otherwise you need to replace the under key switch.

If it does not power up, it is likely going to be a faulty or severly dirty switch contact or a failed capacitor in the power supply. A shot of contact cleaner is usually enough to rectify the first issue, The second issue you need to locate the part at fault and replace it.

I assume you have tried formatting the card in the BR900... sometimes formatting in the PC's doesn't work. read at this web page:

The possibilities are almost endless. It's going to have to go to a qualified repair shop.

What pin is broken where? can you supply a photo?

the problem is from the display IC of your unit. You nee to change the display IC for your unit to display again.

If you cannot do it yourself, maybe you should consult an expert to help you have it fixed.
