What does printers troubleshooting softwere (included in installation cd) say? If you cannot communicate by WiFi, you will need to connect by USB cable.

Testimonial: "Hi there, the printer is connected via usb cable. I also tried with another cable. Same result. Even Printer does not print the "test page". only Display shows "printing..." an on button is blinking."

Hi there,
It seems that " Print on both sides (Manually)" is selected in printing options., when you want to print any document Go to file Print > select printer and click properties and disable the Manual printing option in device settings.
You should be able to get printing without errors,
if the option is not checked then check for the default paper tray,
save the settings and reboot your laptop/desktop and restart printer as well so that settings should work properly and any given command gets clear from memory, If these all settings are ok, Uninstall the printer driver and download the latest version drivers from HP website and install see links below

Make sure the printer is connected directly to the outlet. If there is no display there is no use trying anything else as this is a formatter failure and the printer requires service.

Try a nvram:
Try doing a hard or reset or nvram:
1. Turn the printer off
2. Hold down the right arrow and the cancel button
3. Reboot the printer while holding the buttons and hold until permanent storage is displayed. Let go of the buttons and wait for the ready message on the display.

If there is a display,
print out a configuration report
check network settings ipv4addr, check port under driver properties. and make sure the same ip address is selected.

if using usb download a universal print driver and try installing the driver and selecting the usb virtual port

Hi Anish, Have u checked the printer cartridges installed properly(i.e., Color in color door and black in black door). and also check the cabling between the system and your printer. and put the papers properly. if the problem again persists uninstall the printer driver and install the latest drives which can be downloaded from the net.

Thanks,

DRIVER

Follow these instructions carefully. Not 100% guaranteed to work. Remember - you must have printer connected by parallel cable and use LPT1 when asked. If this works just remember you'll most likely only be able to print. I'll check to see how it turns out. Choose the printer the instructions say to choose. Except the very last dtep you can name it whatever you want. Take your time, do it right. Doesn't take long.

Use the following procedure to place the MultiPASS in Printer Mode. When finished, install an emulation driver.
  1. Press the <Menu> button on the printer's operator panel.

  2. Press the <SCAN> button.

  3. Press the <COPY> button.

  4. Press the <SET> button 2 times. The display will display [PRINTER MODE].

Note:
  • After the printer is set to PRINTER MODE and the parallel cable is connected at both ends and the computer is booted into Windows, Windows Plug and Play will detect and automatically install the Canon Inkjet S630 printer driver. If the S630 is not installed automatically, install the emulation driver manually.
  • After printing is completed, disconnect the cable from the printer and then disable PRINTER MODE.
Installing an emulation driver
The Canon Inkjet S630 emulation driver should install automatically once the F50 is set to Printer Mode, the cable is connected at both ends and the computer has booted into Windows. If not, the driver can be installed using the ‘Add a Printer’ function in the Printers window (See steps below).

  1. After setting the MultiPASS to Printer Mode and connecting the interface cable, power on the computer.

  2. If the 'Found New Hardware' window appears, cancel it.

  3. Click the 'Start' icon, startikon.gif , click 'Control Panel' and then click the appropriate link or icon depending on the view.

  • Using Normal Vista View : printernewmenu.gif

  • Using Classic View : printerikonclassicview.gif

  1. Click 'Add A Printer'.

    addaprinter.gif

  2. Select 'Add a Local Printer'.

    addalocal.gif

  3. Select 'Use an existing port' and 'LPT1: (Printer Port)', then click 'Next'.

    useexistingportlpt1.gif

  4. Select 'Canon' as the Manufacturer and select Canon Inkjet S630.

    choose630.gif

  5. Type a name for the printer if desired, check the Set as the default printer box if you want the printer to be the default printer and then click 'Next'. The printer driver installs. If a Printer Sharing window appears, select 'Do not share' and click 'Next'.

    typenamekliknext.gif
Above example shows Canon Bubble-Jet S400 in the Printer name field.

  6. When the installation finishes, click 'Finish' or choose 'Print a Test Page' to test the printer.

    printatestfinish.gif

  7. After printing is completed, disconnect the cable from the printer and then disable PRINTER MODE. To print again, set the printer back to PRINTER MODE and then reconnect the cable.

Disable PRINTER MODE:
  1. Press the <Menu> button.

  2. Press the <SCAN> button.

  3. Press the <COPY> button. The display will show [DOS PRINTING]

  4. Press the <SET> button. The bottom row on the display will show [ON].

  5. Press the left or right arrow to select OFF and then press the <SET> button.

Hp deskjet f380

I have experienced this before...
Disconnect the printer and remove the installed drivers, that is to remove the virus-infected file or a corrupt printer driver.

Now re-install the printer and the driver.

The printer apear to be dead!

Buttons and lights on the printer Two buttons and three lights are located on the front of an HP Deskjet printer.
  • The lights tell when the printer is working or when it needs attention.
  • The buttons help control the printer.
Buttons and lights Purpose c00123886.jpg POWER button and light Push the POWER button to turn the printer off and on. When lit, the light shows that the printer is turned on. c00123889.jpg RESUME button and light The light blinks when there is a problem with paper. When the problem is corrected, press the button. c00123892.jpg Print cartridge light The light blinks when there is a problem with a print cartridge. When the problem is corrected and the top cover is closed, the light will stop blinking. Troubleshooting blinking printer lights Blinking lights Reason c00123895.jpg

All lights are off. The printer is off (asleep).

Press the POWER buttonc00123886.jpg to turn the printer on.

The printer should turn on automatically when a print job is sent to it. c00123898.jpg

The POWER (top) light is on. The printer is idle.

The printer is ready to print a document. c00123900.jpg

The POWER (top) light is blinking. The printer is busy printing.

Allow enough time to print. When a document has many fonts or graphics or uses complex color such as a color photo, it takes longer to begin printing. c00123902.jpg

The PRINT CARTRIDGE (bottom) light is blinking. Possible causes:

  • The front cover is open. Make sure the front cover is completely closed.
  • The print cartridge is missing. Make sure the print cartridge has been installed correctly.
  • The print cartridge is broken or incompatible. Lift the front cover, and wait for the print-cartridge cradle to slide out. Check the part numbers on the print cartridge:

Black: 51645A

Color: C1823D,

If the print cartridges are compatible and correctly installed, they may be defective. Try replacing the print cartridges.

If none of the above suggestions fix the problem, and, if the error message still occurs, it may be a hardware failure. Call the HP Customer Support Center.

Mac OS 10.5 Leopard

First, install "epson easyprint" from the epson website. Its found under drivers and support for your unit.

Then click ok on that error message about "driver dealing with..."
After you click ok on the message, you will get another window where you will find a "manual print" button. Click on this manual print button and this will take you to the next window where you have to select "A4 as the paper size" and "CD/DVD as the paper type and paper path" . After this, click print... it should start to print! This is just a workaround until epson gets a patch for leopard for print cd........hopefully

922 All-inOne ink Jet printer doesn't print

Lots of luck. I couldn't even get the printer to load the software or install the hardware. I was helped by Dell's tech support (Dell has one of the best tech support programs that exists, in my opinion) for at least 4 hours without any good results. They sent me a replacement for a replacement and I finally got the printer and the software to show by installing it differently. Now it will not print, and, like you, the light to the power button blinks all the time and the printer states that there is no color cartridge installed, even though I have re-installed the new trial cartridge sent by Dell several times. I am going to purchase a new Canon Printer.
