Brake light switch is located at the brake pedal, disconect switch & bridge wires at plug, if brake lights on switch is faulty, You probably have a fuse for interior illumination.
Possible that one of the door switch is faulty and so is open. You will need to check one by one , the switches, to confirm this as the open switch determines the light to be ON and makes you think that all the door swithces are faulty.
you have a bad ground connection to the interior lights. you will need a test light to check for a faulty ground. check for a loose ground connection. also check for loose wires on light switch. if more than one light is affected by this then look for a faulty light switch and replace to correct the problem.
1. Check to ensure the interior light manual switch is not set in the fully off position. If it is, the interior lights won't come on when opening the doors.
2. I assume you can switch on the interior lights manually at all times.
3. If everything checks out and there is no obvious cause then the door activated switches are no doubt faulty or the wiring to the door switches is faulty.
The car is a 2008 build and should still be covered by the manufacturer's new car warranty unless the maximum warranty miles have been exceeded.
some times the door switch can be faulty. and it may be coincidence that the interior switch is faulty too. i have owned alot of S- series trucks and a few of them have done this to me. you need to individually check each door for switch contact
