Humidifier has water reservoir in bottom that we keep filled. When it gets low the humidifier function shuts off. We refill, but after apx. 45 seconds will automatically shut off again and repeatedly will do this.

If it's a cold humidifier, when was the last time you changed the wick? Some people think it's a filter, but it's actually a wick that picks up water from the reservoir and which the fan blows through, distributing moisture, ergo raising the humidity.

If it's a hot humidifier, when was the last time you cleaned it?
Either with a cleaner specified by the manufacturer, or with white vinegar which should dissolve any minerals built up from using tap water

For both types, using only distilled water instead of tap water will make the wick last longer in cold types and prevent mineral buildup around the heating contact surface in steam types.

HumiHumidifier was running. because water level was level I filled as usual. now it doesn't run.that's the problem.Pleas help

There could be several reasons why a humidifier stops running after refilling it with water. One of the most common reasons is that the humidifier's float switch is stuck in the "low water" position, which prevents the humidifier from turning on even after refilling it with water . Another reason could be that the humidifier's water level sensor is malfunctioning, which causes the humidifier to stop running even when there is enough water in the tank/

If you have a whole-house humidifier, it could be that the humidistat is set too low, which causes the humidifier to turn off even when there is enough water in the tank 1. Alternatively, if you have a portable humidifier, it could be that the unit's motor has burned out or that its fan has stopped working .

To troubleshoot this issue, you can try cleaning the float switch or replacing the water level sensor if they are damaged. If you have a whole-house humidifier, you can try adjusting the humidistat to a higher setting. If you have a portable humidifier, you can try replacing its motor or fan

Walgreens Dual tank humidifier 2035 stopped working

I've never seen this model, but it would suggest that the unit is unable to function due to either an electrical failure or needs a serious deep cleaning (esp.the part that interacts with the water to form mist.) I would completely empty the unit and clean it, then partly fill the reservoir with 50/50 mix of white vinegar and water and let it sit for 24 hours (possibly longer) to remove any deposits. (Doesn't take much build up to kill the ultrasonic process). Other than that, try calling the manufacturer and see what they will do for you. (Think it's Sunbeam).

Humidifier will produce mist for a min then stop If you look you can see it producing mist within but it will not come out of the top Walgreens cool mist ultrasonic humidifier

I have had times where my Crane humidifier won't produce mist if I haven't turned it on for several days (4+) or more. The water that sits in the reservoir may develop a film on the ultrasonic element which inhibits the creation of the mist to come out the top of your humidifier. I would lift off the tank and empty the reservoir. Then VERY GENTLY with a piece of paper towel, wipe the ultrasonic element (looks like a disk the size of a quarter at the bottom of the reservoir) to clean off any film. Then replace the tank and let the reservoir fill up the tank and try it again.

If your humidifier runs properly for a minute and then makes a whirring noise and goes silent (like the motor stopping), then it's a motor problem. The humidifier motor may have gone out of alignment due to bumping or rough handling of the humidifier when cleaning or emptying it. If that is the case, you will have to empty the humidifier reservoir, unscrew the base, and find the screws holding down the motor and check for misalignment. Loosen them a little and put it back together and try again.

Best of luck

Wont run in unit lift out and lift level control works fine put it back in unit [ very tight fit] lift level control wont work

Hello.

The GE humidifier adds a continuous stream of cool mist intothe air, giving moisture to dry air due to cold weather or dry climate or tohelp those who desire additional moisture because of respiratory problems orallergies. Sold online and in many department or home retail stores, thehumidifier requires regular cleaning and maintenance for proper functioning andto help keep mineral scale or bacteria from growing in the humidifier. ·1 Connect the power cord on the GE humidifier firmly to a power outlet if thehumidifier is not working. Replace or reset the circuit breaker as necessary.Turn the power switch to "On" if there is power but the unit is notoperating. · 2 Fill thewater tank to the "Fill" mark if the mist output is low or notpresent. Wait 15 minutes after filling the tank and before starting thehumidifier to allow the wick filter to absorb the water for proper function.Turn the humidistat knob to a higher setting for higher output. · 3 Check the capon the water tank and close the cap firmly. Check the rubber tank cap ring onthe cap and reseat firmly to help provide a better seal. · 4 Replace thewick filter with a new wick filter, available through General Electric, if thewick filter inside the base turns brown. Replacement parts may be ordered bycalling 877-207-0923. · 5 Clean thewater tank with vinegar and a soft brush if the water begins to get cloudy.Rinse well before refilling with water. Use cold water in the tank, as warm orhot water may make the water appear cloudy. · 6 Loosen thetank cap slightly if the humidifier cycles on and off unexpectedly. Turn theknob to a higher or lower setting. Thanks.

There is not mist coming out. What should I do??

The moisture released by this (or any ultrasonic) humidifier should not be visible, so it is very possible that it is working correctly. Try filling the reservoir and marking the water level with a small piece of tape. Then run the humidifier for a few hours, and check the water level again. If the water level is below the edge of the tape, then you know it is releasing moisture into the air, and everything is working fine.

The older style of humidifiers created a mist by spinning a disk that was partly dipped into the water reservoir. They had to be refilled often, and the mist could leave water spots or dust on nearby furniture. The water level should change very slowly in your ultrasonic humidIfier compared to a misting humidifier.

Reset the unit once it is refilled by pushing the power button and holding it down for 5 seconds before releasing. This should reset your unit to factory settings.

Filling humidifier

On the Vicks v-3100 the water tank should lift off of the unit. Flip it over and there is a lid. Open the lid and fill the tank. Once you've filled it back up, put the lid back on. Flip the tank over to make sure there are no leaks, then put it back on the humidifier.

Note: It's very important to check to make sure the tank isn't leaking before you put it back on the humidifier, if it is, it will flood the reservoir, in turn causing water to leak out of the bottom of the humidifier (which is one of the major complaints about the 3100).
