Cant switch off - Karcher WV50 Window Vacuum

If the switch is stuck and won't move it means the switch needs replaced.

My lady's vacuum shuts down when the dirt storage area gets full or swallows the wrong stuff. One has to clean up hoses and dirt paths and then wait for some 30 minutes before the thing will start.

more than likely you'll have to order a new handle. Those machines are built in pieces so you just cant replace switch, motor, etc....

normally its the field wire that goes first, needs visual inspection,
cant test power switch,so will have to test with new one

I have the same problem with our machine please please someone help us out.

When the handle is lowered, the switch is engaged and the machine is powered up.

There will be a dial on top of the tank that you can rotate 180 degrees which will switch the unit from vacuum to hose.

To switch it back to vacuum, rotate the dial back 180 degrees.

there isn/t a fuse if not turning on probably a bad switch or power cord

unfasten the handle from the back then slide it back towards your self then the switch is there

you have a bad switch.if you have any spray contact cleaner you can spray it in the switch and work the switch a few times and see if it works if not you need to get a new switch.you can get the switch at any vacuum repair shop.if you would like call all-type vacuum and janitorial supply and ask for lisa.she can help you.tell her pete advised you to call.contact cleaner you can get at radio shack.i hope i have been of some help to you.please leave feedback
