I baked a pie shell for a lemon pie but was unable to finish the task, can I freeze the pie shell now that it is baked?

Will it get soggy when I try to use it?

Yes, you can freeze it but cover it with parchment paper and zip lock it to avoid the freezer smell

Yes, you can freeze a baked pie crust. Freeze it and then put it in a ziplock bag for a maximum of 1 month, so you don't run the risk of freezer burn.
I thaw it (out of the bag) and put it on a very low setting in the oven for a few minutes to make sure it doesn't get soggy. Use it with a filling that doesn't need baking.

I'm baking chocolate muffins & want to put cherry pie filling in the middle. Is it okay to just pour a bit of batter in then bake it briefly, then put filling in and re,ainder batter & finish baking?

I do not recommend partial cooking before fully filling the muffin with the filling. Muffins are more likely to cave in and be over cooked. In most cases the bottoms will over cook and the top of the muffin will be undercook. Just bake the muffins with the filling at the same time.

Can I freeze unbaked fruit pie made with oil pie crust?

Yes you can no problem. Bake from Frozen for an hour at 350'F.

Better if the crust is all butter! Freeze if and grate it into the flour, add water and cut in with a knife.

How long do I bake frozen lemon mergeran pie

Hello, James -

You have not stated if the frozen lemon meringue pie is one you or someone else made and froze, or if it is a commercially made frozen pie.

If it is a commercially made lemon meringue pie, it probably just needs thawing before serving. Instructions will be printed on the box.

If the pie is homemade and frozen, it was probably baked before freezing, so all it may need is some thawing.

I want to reheat a strawberry (already) baked, but frozen pie and do not want it soggy

Defrost in the microwave and then place in a heated oven. Or if you have a convection microwave you can do it in the one action. Cheers

How to prevent sliced apples from turning brown?

Toss them in a dash of vinegar or lemon juice. That not only prevents them from turning brown, but also brings out the flavour.

I have Super capacity ultrabake system electric won't turn off.

I had this with my oven, it just kept getting hotter and hotter. Had to replace the whole control panel. Mine was a Kenmore but I suspect they are similar.
