I have a wenger dive watch. I've dove (SCUBA) with it before without a problem. Had to change the date recently and went swimming - apparently I hadn't tightened the stem well or correctly. The watch still works, but there is condensation in the glass. I've unscrewed and pulled out the stem.. is there anything else I can do? I've heard "put it by the radiator" and also "put it in the freezer". Would really appreciate some help. Also, any tricks to best screw in the stem so this doesn't happen again?
Thank you!
Place the watch in a bag of minute rice for a day or so and check to see when its becomes clear. this tip,i will guarantee it to work in no more than a few days. be sure to loosen the stem and even the back acess to the battery to insure the moisture can escape from the watch
in addition to this tip,id like to add that my friends daughter dove in the pool with her brand new cell phone. the phone wouldnt come on or anything. they placed it in a bag of rice and had forgotten about it for a few weeks due to the fact she had them reactivate her old phone. he was looking for something one day a few weeks later and came across the phone. he then opened the bag and low and behold, it was working again.. this may not work for everyone but its a good story to share to prove how well the rice works at removing moisture.
