Why will it not turn on

I have taken out battery and put back in still no joy

Try taking out the battery and unplugging the power cord from it and then holding down the power button for the count of 5 the long way 1 one thousand two one thousand ect.... this will drain back the power from the board and it just might boot after you plug everything back in again and try to power it back on

Disconnect the battery overnight, and before reconnecting the battery, touch the two battery leads together to remove any residual power. Connect positive first and then the negative.

My acer travelmate will not turn on

Remove the battery, and unplug the computer. Hold down the power button for 60 seconds. Plug the computer in and try restarting. If this works, turn off the computer and reinstall the battery. You probably have a dead battery.

If this does not work, you may have a motherboard issue.

Did you drop the handle on the floor? or against the wall. If the turn on switch is in the handle, it can dislocate the power source. best to take it in to a repair shop, but sometimes it's an easy fix if you are mechanically inclined.

Thank you for using FixYa for your problem

Always check the batteries first (check that the voltage is correct with a volt meter) but if is it still giving the same fault, your camera is faulty.
It should be taken to an authorized repair centre for a repair estimate. Very few digital cameras have any user-serviceable parts.

Anything is fixable but it is more "is it cost effective"

I was playing it when and i put it down to go a tolet i came back and it was off i tried to turn it on but no joy so i thought the batt had died so i tried charging it no joy plz help wot could it be??

BRICKED!

Try taking out your battery, plug in the charger, put in the battery again. See if it works.

Camera won't respond

I just fixed it!, you need to use rechargable batteries, i had it set on rechargable and when i put alkalines in it it made that noise, but when i put rechargables back in it and gave it a slight pat against my hand to make sure nothing was loose inside it came back on and works fine!
