No, its not hard to fix yourself. Its all depends on the extent of the fault and your ability to be able to confront the fault.

Polaroid will not release component schematics not even to service centers as they are designed to replace the entire modules while under warranty out of warranty there is very little Chance of obtaining new replacement parts. If you think it's a fault, don't void warranty by removing back, how are you connecting tv, what A/V leads?
