FAULT E6 ??? - Dishwashers

In general- flood switch sensor, water level control system/electronic control panel failure; Interrupted drain cycle emptying water.

Depending upon make and model of your dishwasher: check water pan in the base pan; clogged filter; cracked or leaking spray arm; door seal, kinked drain hose; damaged or disconnected wires at the control panel; pressure switch fault; drain pump fault.

If you choose to troubleshoot the problem, make sure you disconnect the dishwasher at the power source; whether it is a plug in the outlet or at the circuit breaker- you'll need a multimeter and various size or type nut drivers, screwdrivers, or sockets; and pliers ~ or else call in a qualified technician.
