The Turbo Fire 2 Wireless is known to cause some incompatibility with headsets.

The first step would be to make sure both your controller and headset are both properly plugged in.

If your headset normally sends normal game sounds to your headset, it will not work with the controller. The sounds are the things you would hear coming out of your TV.

If your headset is incompatible, you can get an OEM or 3rd party Xbox Live headset that only receives voice communication.

3. Troubleshooting

General:
If you are having trouble with a headset after it is paired with the PS3, there are a few things to check first:

• Make sure your headset battery is charged and working. Be aware that some brands/models will need to be paired again after each recharge. It's not a problem, it's just the way those models work.
• Make sure your controller is charged. Lots of strange things happen when the controllers don't have enough power, like dropouts and headset interference.
• The headset should be set as the input/output device from the XMB.
• For Bluetooth users, make sure there are no other Bluetooth devices in use near your PS3. Also try to eliminate any other radio frequency interference if possible.
• For USB users, make sure the connection is secure and there are no wire breaks.

You have to do 2 things in order to use a bluetooth headset on your ps3. First you have to pair it with the ps3. To do this you go to your setting and register the bluetooth device. Make sure your bluetooth device is in pairing mode when you do this. On most headsets you can simply hold down the button until the light comes on a solid color. once it is in pairing mode you will have to scan for new devices. Once this is done you should see the headset on the list. Choose it and enter your pairing code. If you have not set one it will most likely be 0000. Once it is it paired you will have to change your audio output and input. Go to audio device settings and change the input and output device to your headset name. Enjoy!
