So yesterday my alcatel one touch died on me so i put it to charge for a few hrs Then i took it off the charger & tried turning it on and it doesnt turn on . It charges when i put it to charge but not turn on .

The only thing that I could suggest is a hard reset. I don't have an Alcatel One, but it must be the same steps, pressing the volume up and power button until the Alcatel logo pops up. This will take you to the recovery mode in which you will scroll down with the volume down rocker to Wipe data.

SOURCE: Samsung Alias will not charge.

try with another battery. if it charge you have battery problem. if it doesnt you have motherboard problem with phone

when the phone discharges completly, it can olny be charged via the charger that plugs into a wall outlet.

First, when it is defect, and you don't have the proper tools, the right skills or the spare parts to replace the defective parts (or only missing one thing of the 3) you can't fix this.
Let us hope it is not the phone. Check if the battery is still charging first. When a light comes on, as soon as you plug in the charger cable, you have to assume it does. If it is not changing, you have a problem. You should try to find out if it is the connector in the phone, the cable or the charger.
As soon as you think it charges, but pressing the on / off button won't work, you can't do anything yourself.

First is the battery ok and fully charged. try and switch it on while hooked to the charger, you may have to hold the button down for a few seconds . if it comes to life now the battery is at fault. If nothing have the switch checked out.

Make sure the battery is correctly inserted, connect it to the charger and make sure it appears to be charging, wait a few mins and press the on button, it should start.

Not sure. But dod you check if the charger and the cable are correct? When you insert the charger cable the phone should give a beep, turn on for a few moments and than goes in sleeping mode. If nothing happens, please try another cable and / or an different charger.
