Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P Front Load Washer Logo

I have a front load whirlpool washer purchased in 2012 that is displaying error code E01 F09. I cleaned out the trap for the drain pump, took the suction line off from the bottom of the drain and ensured it was clean, and replaced the pressure switch and it still displays the error. I also took the pump out and did a bench test on it and it checks good. Just did a bump test but it spins freely and appears to be working. The washer does not have standing water but the clothes are soaking wet. I think the problem is with the spin cycle but everything I read on these boards keeps saying drain pump. I don't think there is anything left to check in the drain system.

I have a WFW87HE washer. Has a F09 and E01 code .was in cleaning cycle. just stopped and water is in drum up to seal. will not do anything now flashes door lock

The F09 E01 error indicates a long drain on a Whirlpool washing machine. The pump couldn't remove the water in a timely fashion. Sometimes the solution is easy. Unplug the washing machine. Open the washing machine bottom panel (on the front) and have a bucket nearby. Remove the cap to the washing machine drain trap. Remove any debris that is in the trap. Use the bucket if any water drains out of the machine. Look past the trap to see if anything is blocking the impeller of the drain pump. If there is, try to remove the debris. If any of the blades are damaged, you probably will need to replace the pump.

Replace the cover of the drain trap. Make sure that no wires are loose and try getting the washer to drain again. If the long drain persists, check your drain hose and stand pipe for blockages. Clean out any problems. Check the pump and the wiring to the pump and replace any damaged parts.

The parts diagram for the tub and basket area is available here: https://www.appliancepartspros.com/tub-and-basket-parts-for-whirlpool-wfw87hedc0.html . (Note: this is one of several models.)

I hope this helps.

My F09 and my E01 codes keep coming on in mid cycle and shutting down the cycle

F09/E01 are related codes.

LONG DRAIN: If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes without reaching reset level in pressure sensor, the valves are turned off and the drain pump will stop running. NOTE: Suds can cause delays in draining. Washer drains for 4 minutes, pauses 5 minutes, then tries again for 4 additional minutes of draining. F9E1 will display if washer does not drain. (Normal drain takes less than 2 minutes)

Possible Causes:
Verify that the drain hose is not blocked or kinked.
Make sure drain hose is not sealed into drain pipe.
Make sure the drain hose height does not exceed 96" (2.4 m).
Check/clean drain pump filter of foreign objects.
Check connections from tub to air trap, air trap to pressure hose, and pressure hose to pressure sensor.
See TEST #8 (Drain Pump) on page 19. Is pressure hose pinched, kinked, plugged, or leaking air?Is pressure hose pinched, kinked, plugged, or leaking air?Is pressure hose pinched, kinked, plugged, or leaking air?

Error message : e01 f09

First try holding down the cancel button for 10 seconds and releasing (might have to do this 2~3 times). The technician manual is located under the lower front panel. I've heard that locating the CCU (brain box, in lower right) freeing it up and giving it a couple of wacks has worked. F09 is pressure switch, E01 is Thermistor. The tech manual will be a great help!!

Whirlpool duet front loading washer purchased in 2004, beeps and displays F9 code during whitest white cycle or heavyduty cycle when washing towels, this provokes unusual delays, frustration and ineff

Boyz, your machine is draining too slowly. When it initiates a drain cycle, the water level switch is sensing the water level is still too high after 60 seconds so the computer stops and generates this fault code. Here are the things to check; * Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or inked. * Check Wire Harness connectors to the Drain Pump, Pressure Switch, and Central Control Unit (CCU) * Check/Clean Drain Pump Filter of foreign objects * Check for Drain Pump Failure * Check the Inlet Valve for proper shut off * Check the Pressure switch for proper operation
