How do I change amount of times the phone rings before the answer clicks in

Go to settings either handset or base station, look for ringing settings or answer phone, then you will see an option to change the ring count before the machine answers. You should also be able to look the manual up on the net. Can't be more specific as you have not stated the model, sorry.

The Uniden DECT 1363 isn't an answering machine. It will continue to ring until someone picks up, a separate answering machine or voicemail system picks up, or the caller hangs up. You need to refer to the documentation for your answering machine or voicemail system.

Step 1: Determine the make and model of your phone/answering machine.
Step 2: Repost your question, being sure to include the information from Step 1.

click menu 3 times. click either repeat/rew or skip/ff to set to either 2 for 2 rings or 4 for 4 rings or 6 for 6 rings or h5 for toll saver THEN press set/ringer to save your change. Answering machine will answer after 4 rings if you wanted the 4 & saved by pressing set/ringer. Thats all there is to it.

You can change the ringing type from "ring once" to "ringing". (Settings>>Profiles>>General>>Ringing Type)

or

you can choose a ringing tone with a longer duration.

Got it, and you can set it for 2, 4, or 6 rings on incoming calls.

1. Press MENU/CLOCK on the base to enter setup.
2. Press MENU/CLOCK repeatedly to select RING TIME.
3. Press VOL:/SELECT to set the number or rings at 2, 4, or 6.
4. Press SET to save the setting.

the voicemail ring count has to be setup on your phone line thru your voicemail menu,and has nothing to do with the answering machine. if you don't want the answering machine to pickup, just shut it off. follow the prompt's for your voicemail settings, there you'll be able to set the amount of rings you want.

To set or change the number of rings-to-answer, use the following steps:
1. On the all-in-one control panel, press Menu.
2. Use the < or the > button to select Fax setup, and then press tick
3. Use the < or the > button to select Fax Recv. setup, and then press tick
4. Use the < or the > button to select Rings to answer, and then press tick
5. Use the alphanumeric buttons to enter the number of rings-to-answer, and then press tick


But I still think picking up the phone earlier would be easier
