Hello.

There is a little insider trick to disable it:
Go to Settings, Highlight Parental Control, When the screen pops up that says Enter Pass Code press: X, Y, Left Trigger, X. You'll be taken to the parental controls screen where you can disable the passcode previously entered.

I hope this helps :)

SOURCE: Forgot password to unlock family settings on xbox 360?

I've managed to come across this from someone who called microsoft with the same problem (it seems quite common)
Go into settings Console settings Then device settings (The one with the blue screen)
Then go:
left trigger, right trigger, x, y, left bumper, right bumper,
left with left stick, up with left stick, right with left stick, x

If you have trouble use the pad instead of stick, but I could only get the stick to work..

I hope that helps

Regards
Mike

I hope this helps:

  • Remove all discs from your console.
  • Turn off your Xbox.
  • Then turn it on using your controller. Press and hold the Guide button until it turns on.
  • While the device is booting, press and hold the Y button + right trigger. The Xbox 360 logo will appears (keep the button pressed).

I dont remember my family passcode.and im trying to figure out how to reset it

Many people have asked how they can reset the family timer settings and/or the passcode on their Xbox 360 console . I have the answer! No cheap tricks! Reset all passcodes and security questions with this code: 1. On the 360 dashboard, scroll over to the "System" tab. 2. On the System tab, click "Console Settings". 3. Scroll down in console settings and click "System Info". 4. When the system info box comes up type in this sequence: LT RT X Y LB RB Y "Left Stick in" (press it in) Y Y A box should come up and say, "Would you like to reset the console to the factory defaults?" Click Reset and you're done! If this doesn't work, and that's highly unlikely, call Microsoft at 1-800-4MY-XBOX (U.S.). Provide them with your registration info and they will tell you how to reset the console. or, CallXbox Customer Support at 1-800-4-MY-XBOX (1-800-469-9269).

I bought a used Xbox360 and the family timer is set on it. I want to reset this but unable to. There is a description on here that is a gentleman explaining how to solve the issue but its not working for...

When the Xbox 360 Family Settings are first setup, you are required to give it a four-button pass code in order to add or change settings.

There are two ways to edit or remove the Family Timer.

If you do have the pass code:
  1. Go to My Xbox and open System Settings.
  2. Select Family Settings, Console Controls.
  3. Enter your pass code.
  4. Select Family Timer.
  5. Select Disable.
  6. Select Done.
  7. Select Yes, save changes.
Now your timer should be disabled!

If you do not have the pass code:
  • Try contacting the previous owner.
  • Call Xbox Customer Support at 1-800-469-9269

Dont know password

if that is a password for the xbox live passcode, the passcode being asked everytime you sign in, the password is the password itself when you try to recover your gamertag

if that is a passcode for watching videos, or something.

that is a family settings passcode, the only way to override that is to call tech support, give the console serial number of your xbox of course, the serial number has a unique reset code attached to it..
tech support will give you some things to press on sytem info page of the dashboard to reset the family settings
