Use a light lithium grease on the door hinges. It will stay viable in a very hot environment. WD40 will dissapate very quickly.

I have no heat in my 2004 mercury mountaineer and i have lights that do what they want ,,what is going on with this

number of possibilites for no heat.

1. Your engine thermostat is broken and stuck in the on possistion. In the winter months, if its stuck in the open posistion, the vehicle may never get warm enough for the heater to blow hot air (i had this problem once, 13 degrees outside and even tho we had been driving for an hour, not a single bit of warm air... fixed instantly with new thermostat) this is a cheap repair

2. you have a clogged/broken or something has happened to your heater core, it is located in the dash somewhere and hot coolant flows into it. This is not terribly expensive, but labor cost may be a bit high, sometimes there not easy to get to

3. and least likely is that your heater door wont open. Does your a/c still work fine? if yes, if you leave the ac on, and turn it from cold to hot, does it stay exactly same temp or cold? or slightly warmer? if it stays the exact same tempature of cold and you cant tell that anytinh has changed, the door that closes the ac and opens to heater could be stuck/broken, etc. or the cable or electric wire controlling it could be bad..

that concludes 3 reasons you could be without heat, as far as your electrical goes, I would make sure all your fuses are in good, otherwise, who knows, electrical in cars is a whole nother ball game

I just put a brand new heater core in my 1998 ford expedition and the air is warm not hot so then i changed the thermostat and it was still warm so i took the dash back out and seen that the blind door was...

Do you have eatc/electronic automatic temp control? The temp blend door, I wouldn't remove that, with no door, it seems to me your getting 50/50 hot and cold. Are there any eatc trouble codes?
Does the engine reach operating temp, hopefully over 200 degrees F. Are the heater hoses hot to the touch?
Do you live in an extremely cold region?

Nothing is hot - everything is on

Check the door safefy interlock switches before you plunk your $ down.

If you open your oven to check the contents without turning the oven off first ... the tiny switches arc and start to burn ... once they cannot make contact ... the oven doesn't know if the door is open or closed so it will not turn on the heat.

It is worth checking ...

I have a chamberlin whisper garage door opener and it is sqeaky now........how do you make quiet again? Thanks

Your first step is to find out if it is the opener or the door. Then you should be able to isolate the squeek.

I opened the door of the microwave oven but I could feel hot air

is yours a convection and microwave combo oven? if yes the fan is a cool-down fan to blow cold air over the magnatron tube. Microwaves are designed with a multiple number of safety switches usually 2 or more in the door that the magnatron (the thing that generates microve energy) could never come on with the door open.
