This is no exception, Please take your machine to a authorized repair shop to have the machine repaired properly. Note: Most machine manufacturers do not sell parts to the public! Ill repaired machines can be dangerous to use is most cases.

My brother cs-6000i computer sewing machine shows a E6. I cleaned around the bobbin and checked the needle. I replaced the bent needle and it still does the same thing "E6". What will fix this?

Follow the instructions below if you receive the error message "E6"
1. Check if the machine rattles and stops as soon as the sewing starts
- Upper thread could be tangled or threaded incorrectly
- Check that the thread take-up lever is threaded

- Raise the presser foot to raise the needle to its highest position and re-thread the machine
2. Remove the bobbin and bobbin case
- Clean any lint or loose threads

- Install the bobbin case so that the projection on it aligns with the spring and install the bobbin into the bobbin case

3. The needle could be bent
- Check that the needle does not hit the needle plate
- Replace the needle if necessary
- Make sure the flat side is facing the back
If the problem persists, your machine may require service.
If the machine is in warranty, call Brother Customer Service at 1-877-Brother (1-877-276-8437) for warranty options.

Can't figure out how to fill the bobbin

hi Beverly.
you have not said what make and model.
but try this.
Always wind the bobbin before threading the machine and needle.
  1. Place spool of thread on spool pin.
  2. Slide spool pin holder/cap firmly over rim of spool to prevent thread from tangling.
  3. Push bobbin winder pin to far left if it is not already there.

I have a brother vx1100 sewing machine and I forgot how to combine the bobin thread with the upper thread to start sewing please help

ono secret
just pull the bobbin thread down the slot in the bobbin holder and under the spring plate
leave about 6 " thread loose and put the bobbin and holder back in the machine
use you hand and turn the machine over a few times and the needle thread will pull the bobbin thread up
or use a bit of scrap material and start a short sew

Lower bobbin threading Brother

  1. Turn the power switch to "o".
  2. Raise the needle to its highest position by turning the balance wheel towards you (anti-clockwise) and raise the presser foot lever.
  3. Open the shuttle cover behind the extension table on the the front of the machine and remove the bobbin case by pulling its latch towards you and pulling it out of the shuttle race. (fig A).
  4. Unwind about 10cm (4") of the thread from a full bobbin and insert it into the bobbin case. (see fig B-1). Pull the trailing thread into the slot then down and to the left, as shown in fig B-2, until it enters the delivery eye under the tension spring (fig B-3).
  5. Holding the bobbin case by the latch, fully insert the bobbin case into the shuttle race and release the latch. Make sure the bobbin case finger fits into the notch at the top of the race as shown in fig C.

I have Brother LX-3125. I am using it for the first time. How can I take the bobbin out of the bobbin case. The case has an empty bobbin snapped in.

the lx 3125 has a front loading bobbin case which must be removed by pulling the latch on the bobbin case and thereby pulling the bobbin case from the shuttle.

once you have the bobbin case in your hand, let go of the latch and the bobbin will drop out of the case. you can now wind the bobbin or replace it with a wound bobbin - make sure that the bobbin thread is threaded down the slot in the case and behind the tension spring, also the bobbin should turn clockwise when you pull the bobbin thread when loking at the bobbin in the case.

Spring not connected behind bobbin casing

It is most likely the feed dog return spring. A cam lifts the feed dogs up and the spring pulls them back down. It hooks to the feed dogs bracket and goes straight down to the machine frame, there should be a small hook or post for it. You may be able to sew slowly without it attached.
good luck!

Bobbin case is moving out of place

I was having the same problem with my machine and finally the spring broke. I couldn't find any parts for this so my husband made me a new spring out of a coke can! LOL!! Anyway, he messed with it for a while and it kept doing it. He figured out that it was not the spring but the other piece under the spring was not pushed up far enough to keep the bobbin case in place so he took a screw driver and pushed it forward toward the bobbin case and now my bobbin case does not move!! And the machine is sewing perfect! At least for now. Anyway, it's not the spring or the thread adjusting screw!

there is also a single screw on the bottom of the machine as well as one behind the bobbin winder, the last 'hidden" one is on the back side of the machine behind what woudl be the reverse button.
